    The Live Music Thread

Watched a shitty band Collective Soul and about to watch what I seem to recall is a shittier band Shinedown. Couldn't last to a second screaming song after their opening number "Gibberish, Grunt and Scream". I thought it was also odd that the band asked everyone to meet the person next to them and shake their hand like some kind of church shit. Is Shinedown a cult band? Packed up the rocking chairs and moved to watch Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Everything we had would be a Colin appetizer or 364 BAI worth of food and beer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Almond Cake, which I have no intention of sampling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. There is a localish Colorado that I have my eye on. Looks great but it has some weird grip shift shifters that I cannot understand. https://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/bik/6191120026.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Beater Litespeeds are great Juan. I am looking for a cool old Serotta like yours now. Want some steel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Frames are in stock in black, I would have had to wait longer for the new blue frame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. My Vectors are still going strong, even with my fat ass riding on them. Picking up the Jones bike tomorrow, I believe, and will need to start figuring out how electronic MTB shifting works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Watches

My "designed and tested on deployment" Marine Raider watch finally arrived. Nice packaging and a couple of strap options. I think this will be a great Ti beater for the summer when I do not want to wear the other beaters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Built up a sweet bike today for a gift. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I assume everyone but Brent will be purchasing the new "must have" trainer for their bike rooms? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Maybe they had to make it faster so owners could more quickly get it through the neighborhood and into the garage before neighbors noticed what a stupid looking car they drive.
  14. Food Truck Cajun food. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. These were on two different sets of wheels, but the Litespeed was pumped up directly before the ride and I just picked up a thorn or stone that gave me a small puncture. The other one was shitty Illinois roads and a bad tube install.
  16. The funny thing is that these two flats were my second and third ever. Today's was a slow leak as I probably picked up some debris and it took some time to go low. The one before that was a pinch flat as I think the shop did not do a great job in setting up the new wheels/tires.
  17. Another ride, another fucking tire blowout, this time on the Litespeed and 12 miles from home. At least had tube this time. I think the bike thing is done for me now. New hobby upcoming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Technically, I am only using one Mad Fiber wheel on the trainer bike, so I think your math is off.
  19. I have several (one) bikes that have their stock wheels on them, and none of them but the fat bike are beaters like this bike.
  20. ^Exactly. This is a beater bike and the wheels fit it perfectly.
  21. Put on the shim and FSA seatpost. Now this bike rides as nicely as I remember the DeSalvo rolling. Shaved a few ounces off from the tree trunk of the seat post I took off as well. Somehow managed to shave 8 seconds off my PR on my neighborhood climb so those few ounces must have been some really heavy ounces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hmmm, should I just get one for each floor of my house Brent? REI Garage Sale Kick'r again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Managed to make it 6 miles into my first ride on the new wheel/tires this morning before having a lovely pinch flat and finding the seat bag I swapped from the Litespeed had everything but the tube I needed to fix the problem. I love walking in cleats.
  24. My general advice to anyone is to get the highest end model, whether you need it or not.
  25. Saddle is great. The thick ass seat post is typically the first thing ripped off of Litespeed bikes as the shitty MTB seatpost is massively stiff. I rode a shop bike that had the same frame but smaller CF seatpost and the difference was immediately noticeable. Just that extra bit of compliance is enough to notice, even though my saddle is more comfortable for me than what was on the shop bike, it was a much better ride. The reason for the massive hoods is the fantastic hydro brakes which make me never want to road a bike with old fashioned brakes again.
