First I suggest you don't do it and invest a little more cheese on a better iron.
I have owned a couple in the past and they have been okay. The problem with them is the tips suck. If you don't plan on doing a lot of DIY you should be fine as long as you take care of it. As for size the smaller ones will be fine for phone wires but for larger stuff you will want something with more power. Stay away from guns.
I purchased a Xytronic as I iron for here in Iraq and I have had really good luck with it. It also uses Hakko tips.

I want a circuit that actually does something
Crossover? Comb filter?
-
I'm hoping they sound good too since my next project is this:
B&O 50ASX2. Nice. Let us know how you like them. I have heard the Jeff Rowland amps and they sound pretty darn good. Made in Colorado Springs to boot!

Seems a lot of you have something in common with this guy

Okay have to add another one.

Sweet mahogany!

Not sure if this one has been done yet. If not here it goes.
This is Kaiser and he does not like to party.

That it pretty much what the HE stats come with as an adapter. I am sure the quality of that one exceeds the HE version.

Circa 2006 Focal Utopia were highly desired in car audio. But not their tweeters. People hated them. I stopped reading about car audio since getting my car done, so I dont know if this is still the case. This was before any of the 'be' stuff came out.
I wouldn't wish the older Utopia tweeters on my worst enemy. Bright POS they were. The W cone drivers were okay. The new Be tweeters are a different animal and sound really really good. The Be mids are good but I prefer (and use) Scan Speak Revelators.

Oh, somebody was auditing a pair of this so I sat down and listened as well and I was blown awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
The Focal Be speakers are on my short list of favorites. Actually the first Focals I really liked. I don't like the Wilsons that use the Focal drivers and never liked the older Utopias. Like them so much I use the Be tweeters in my car.

Sure, you can create a waiting list, of course all it will amount to is that you'll have a place to wait indefinitely.
Sweet! Just like ordering a Xin.

I already have a soldering iron so I would just like to purchase a kit. Hopefully it will come with the pre-punched case. Doing all those big holes looks nasty.
-
Also can look for "adel" clamps. Pretty much the same thing Kevin posted but used in aviation. Come in all different sizes with different insulators depending on application.

I wouldn't mind a copy of the gerbers....pretty please.

Cost $51 w/insurance to send the B22 from here in Iraq(should be that same as from NY) to Florida. I figured shipping one to the UK is about $150. How the monkeys treat along the way is a different story.

The only better than the smell of peat burning in an open fire is the taste of it in a glass of Islay Scotch.
I have some Lagavulin and 15yr Laphroaig anxiously awaiting my return.

Also could build a HTPC with a case that has a built in touchscreen. Could do a lot more than just play music. Totally OT but I am waiting on DTV to come out with their USB receiver so I can build a mega with HTPC with a couple TB of storage. Then I don't have to keep erasing Tyra and Americas Next Top Model so I can record Family Guy in HD.

Will it sound as good as a Raptor?
I'm actually finishing up a mod for the B22 that makes it sound better than the Raptor! And all you need is a snorkel, ice pick, and a avocado for the mod.

While reading that I was hoping it was going to be JenaLabs. And it was! Who would name their company after a has-been porn star that now looks like Skelator anyway?

I bet a certain circular hole cutting tech could bring it back to life if anything happens...
Well I hope he has a pocket full of IRFZ24Ns. Let's just say I learned the hard way what happens for that split second when 1/4" headphone jacks are plugged/unplugged and the volume is cranked up.

He appears to do truly top-flight work. I'd really be interested in seeing some of it live at some point and meeting him, seems like a cool guy.
I better keep up with all the threads going around to see what rumors and allegations are being spread about me.
One of the B22s I built should be at CamJam (if the USPS comes through). Actually makes me a bit nervous that many people seeing something I built.

McMaster Carr FTW. Love that place.
Post the last thing you bought!
