Best way to sort, label and store BJT transistors

So I am planning on ordering a bunch of the BC546 and BC556 for the Unbalanced\Balanced board and I'll need to measure, sort, label and store them.

1. can I store them in a regular plastic parts bin with dividers?

2. can I stick labels on the pins and fold the labels closed?

The best way that I have found is to use heavy stock and number in rows. I use 3M double sided tape to stick the devices on, then put it in an antistat bag. Add the measurement key, or just have that in a spreadsheet.

Are you have plans to do this in a temperature-controlled environment?

If no - just label bins with desired precision step like this:

But be informed, hFE (beta) and Vbe have sensible tempco, so the more precise step you want - the more precise temperature must be controlled.

SMD cases can be sorted and stored straight on the two-sided scotch like this:

I would. Lately, orders from Arrow have been using fairly large antistat bags for everything. You can also buy them with ziploc-type closures. Places like OfficeMax or staples carry them I believe.

I bought a bunch of these from eBay, and use those to store jfets and low-noise bipolars, and sorted pairs/quads etc, with an ink-marker to write details.
