January 16, 200818 yr http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/15/health/15infe.html?_r=1&ref=todayspaper&oref=slogin I bet the wacko evangelicals will have a blast with this.
January 16, 200818 yr um... if it is spreading by skin contact... wouldn't normal people be infected by just shaking hands with infected people? if that's possible, this thing could easily affect the regular population.... and then boom... a new black plague!
January 16, 200818 yr Author um... if it is spreading by skin contact... wouldn't normal people be infected by just shaking hands with infected people? if that's possible, this thing could easily affect the regular population.... and then boom... a new black plague! Yes, normal people can be infected, too. But it's much more easily spread by anal sex, as the article states. And homosexual men have lots of anal sex.
January 16, 200818 yr And homosexual men have lots of anal sex. Let us know when you get the disease.
January 16, 200818 yr Author Let us know when you get the disease. I've always been more of a cocksucker.
January 17, 200818 yr I like how the journalist reported the results "The Castro district in San Francisco has the highest number of gay residents in the country, according to the University of California, San Francisco. One in 588 residents is infected with the new multidrug-resistant MRSA strain, the study found. That compares with 1 in 3,800 people in San Francisco, according to statistical analyses based on ZIP codes." A new disease, spread by contact and it has localised dispersion what a suprise
January 17, 200818 yr quite enlightening how most superbugs are removed by soap. It's been a noticeable point with MRSA over here that hospital/ward cleanliness is being pushed back up the agenda to being a key point to patient care.
January 17, 200818 yr On a related note - it's been just over 150 years since Florence Nightingale made her fame by advocating for cleanliness in wards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florence_Nightingale
January 17, 200818 yr Author "The final answer to the gay question". How old are you? Lighten up, a little Holocaust joke never hurt anybody.
January 17, 200818 yr Lighten up, a little Holocaust joke never hurt anybody. Not in your context. But yeah, funny joke.
January 17, 200818 yr i read a study, a while ago, that suggested that bacterial infections in hospitals could be reduced by something like 75% if medical practitioners used gel alcohol to clean their hands several times a day. Ideally people should use the alcohol hand gel or wash their hands (and do it properly) after seeing every patient.
