February 15, 200917 yr Hello all, I recently purchased an Audio Alchemy DDE v1.2 off of ebay. I guess this is my fault for the most part since I didn't ask questions before I bought it but it did not come with a power supply. Well, I have a few AA power supplies lying around but none of those have the same connection as the PS5. It's connection looks identical to an S-video connection. A 4 prong din. So now I'm stuck with this unit and have no way to use it. Does ANYONE on this forum have one they're NOT using? I will gladly take it off your hands. Thanks, Adam
February 15, 200917 yr I have an entire DDE 1.2/PS5 combo I'm not using, but I wouldn't want to sell just the PS5 and be in the same boat. As I mentioned in your other thread, I'd contact Mark Schifter at AV123.com. He was the man behing AA, and I believe his Perpetual Technologies DACs use the same type of PS. He may have some power supplies on hand that will work for you. Edited February 15, 200917 yr by swt61
February 15, 200917 yr Author I tried that. For some reason that whole forum seems to be "read only" right now. I can't even post. Let alone PM.

February 16, 200917 yr Are the MSB Technologies power supplies the same also? Also Channel Island audio? Or is that a different one? If so, I have a MSB Technologies floor wart you can have for cheap.

But I do know the processor end has to be a 4 pin din connector. Almost identical (if not identical) to an s-video connector.

February 17, 200917 yr AV123 is going under some reorganization and the entire forum is read only except PMs. Give them a call or PM Mark Schifter.

But you're right, you should check the specs. It the power supply is capable of delivering more amperage, that part is okay, but I would keep the voltage the same. I think (second opinions?).
