June 4, 200917 yr comment_241062 I owned the X707ES briefly and thought they sounded great but I still prefer the sound of the newer XA7ES, and SCD-1 to it. I would suggest you not to buy it as the laser units for older Sony CDPs are discontinued. Report
June 4, 200917 yr comment_241101 It's a good red book CD player. I had one of these for few days in my system several years back. If the laser assembly brakes you are done, unless you have a way to get a replacement. I really liked this Sony as a transport, much more than a CDP. Report

Most buyers use these older units as the transport. Most older highend Sony CDP share the same transport as Accuphase units and Sony "R" series units. Report
