New headphones or upgrade?

Hi!

I am looking to improve my system or just to buy new headphones.

Right now i have this setup:

Pc to DacMagic connected with USB or Xonar D2 PM connected to DacMAgic with optical/coaxial cable. And DacMagic connected to Darkvoice 336i.

Headphones that i use the most are HD650.

What i am looking is to upgrade my current setup or just to buy new headphones. I love my HD650. They are great. But i feel that they can improve and that are capable more than in this setup.

First thing that i was looking at is new cable for them. Like Stefan AudioArt Equinox cable for them. But stoneaudio doesnt have them in stock and they are told me that they will be in stock in about 8-10 weeks! That is long time!

And that prices will most probably change.

Now i have question. Does another cable really improve sound. I mean will they sound a lot better than with original cable? Or is improvement small?

What is difference?

Other thing i am thinking of is to get another amp. I was looking at Graham Slee Novo, Solo amps. Solo is a little too expensive so i dont know if its worth to buy it.

DacMagic stays in my rig as its great for the money.

Or just to go and buy new headphones? I am looking for a long time at the Denon AH-D2000 headphones as i am looking for more "body" and a bit more fun sound. Mostly i am listening to jazz/fusion, progressive rock, rock, metal...

So for first option:

what would you guys improve in my current system to get HD650 to sing as they should?

And second option:

what headphones should i buy that will be different enough to my current headphones?

Time for some thread lock down? Been a few of these lately..odd that the new members aren't getting the idea by now..I mean to all the new members if you all start threads like "new headphones or upgrade?" everyday that's a lot of garbage for everyone to sift through.
