January 24, 201016 yr Has anyone heard one in it's final form? I'm looking to get a phono preamp instead of using the Metric Halo ADC. I liked the early ss prototype and have always liked Craig's gear. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

January 24, 201016 yr Craig is bringing one to the Feb. 27 meet, as if there weren't already so many great reasons to come out here! Oh, and I get to keep the one he is bringing to try and maybe buy.
February 2, 201016 yr I am borrowing the prototype Transcription Amplifier, which is supposed to be the same as the production model, just not as asthetically pleasing. I really like it quite a bit, it has a nice warm analog sound to it. It is detailed but not analytical. There is quite a bit of gain with 48db for MM and 72db for MC, I'm surprised how quiet it is. The only thing that I would want is an easier way to adjust the loading instead of the barrier strips.
