Looks scarily similar to triports in some ways... But it is a new contender in the closed headphone market, and seems to have something PTH like built in.

I have no idea, I've never heard any of the eggos. A lot of people like them at Headfi, the MDR-D66 is quite famous. I think the appeal is that it's a cheap sealed (foldable?) headphone that usually priced at around $100.

If they are actually along the same line as the D66's they could be pretty good. But knowing Sony I'm sure they'll be awful

I'll think I'll stick with my MDR-D77.

d66 sounds very close to the ipod earbuds. And the earbuds are more portable and if you get them with a shuffle, the whole package is less then the d66. Pass...
