  1. I could easily fit two 27" screens on my desk at work so I should get them, right?
  2. I have 4 of the Epicurean boards and like them a lot but one of the reasons is that I can throw them in the dishwasher... I am lazy. I will let you know how I like the butcher block compares to the Epicurean boards when I get it (it was estimated to be delivered Feb 14-17 on the ebay page when I ordered it). Of course, I haven't received a shipping notification...
  3. Let me know how you like it. I thought about getting the John Boos end grain maple board before I got the one I did (hopefully the one I ordered will show up next week).
  4. Guess I am conservative when it comes to coffee and should avoid coffee that is described as "this is the most extreme coffee of 2010" (Bali) and "This is a highly unusual coffee" (Ethiopian Yergacheffe).
  5. Drinking the last of my Costa Rican CoopePalmares Pulp Natural from Old Bisbee. So far, this has been my favorite with Indian Mysore Nugget just a step behind (too bad they don't have both right now ). I didn't really like the Bali Kintamana very much.
  6. Congrats to Mike and Knuckles and good luck to your son Dinny!
  7. Indeed I was... not exactly portable at ~40lbs but a nice machine. Me too except I only have dual 20"ers.
  8. I want some Hopslam!
  9. I would say that you are very fortunate. Jealous... very jealous. Marc: How is the drink/orgeat? I just shared a bottle of 2007 Bishop's Peak Cabernet Sauvignon with a couple of friends outside. It was way too cold to be having wine outdoors.
  10. I approve!
  11. Forget an iMac, you need a 12 core Mac Pro and dual 27" screens... silly monkey.
  12. Do you mean one of these Chemex brewers? http://www.sweetmarias.com/sweetmarias/coffee-brewers/chemex-drip-brewers.html No. I just use a ceramic cone: http://www.sweetmarias.com/sweetmarias/coffee-brewers/filtercones.html
  13. The bag in back is a Chrome Soma - laptop backpack/messenger bag hybrid. I agree, although I haven't seen any of the Red Oxx stuff in person...
  14. Some quick pictures of the black co-pilot. I like that it can hold a pad of letter size paper and my Kleen Kanteen water bottle. It is really the perfect size for someone like me. The bag is moar black than it looks in the pictures. Please ignore the horribly ugly office carpet. I think I will get a couple organizer pouches for the main pocket. Right now I have a Chrome Utility pouch in it to hold my ipod+JH13's, which is a little too bulky. Next to the Chrome Soma.
  15. I like those.
  16. Cool! Having a small Manhattan after a very tiring day.
  17. You are funny Gene.
  18. Dinny: I would guess it would be no problem but haven't traveled with it yet. I think it is the new maximum size for some airlines, 22 x 14 x 9, (Continental for one) but it is supposed to keep its shape when fully packed which is probably not true for a duffel bag. I plan to practice packing it this weekend and I will measure the dimensions then. Of course, since Mike has actually carried it on, he would know best... probably why you directed your questions to him. I am not sure why I am trying to answer your question.
  19. Good stuff, I will have to try some Chinato. Right now I am sipping on some Camus VSOP while finishing preparations for tomorrow's class.
  20. Major FAIL!
  21. Thanks for letting me know Vicki. I better decide if I want to get anything else in Indigo before they run out.
  22. ^Same here.
  23. I can assure you I did not waste one bit of the Parker. In fact, I switched to Metaxa Grande Fine. This stuff is really growing on me. I like.
  24. I decided to get the Capresso. The main reason was that I could get it with amazon prime so it would actually be here on the 14th. It doesn't have the motor that the Baratza has but seems to be better than the Cuisinart... we'll see. My husband would probably freak out if he found out I bought him a $200 grinder so that kept me from getting the Virtuoso.
  25. You are correct, I will have to correct that.
