Ye Macce Threade
A lifetime supply of free Apple products for me and all my HC buddies would be a good compromise I think.

I thought about purchasing the brain bag but thought this would keep me from carring too much junk around that I didn't need.

Decided that, perhaps, carrying my loaded hybrid messenger bag/backpack (Chrome SOMA) everyday was hurting my left shoulder (since my left shoulder has been hurting lately). So I have ordered a Tom Bihn Smart Alec backpack to carry to/from work (in black/steel). Hopefully this will help.

Good stuff Jim and Marc! I am busy writing a report tonight so no more time for cocktailing.... will have to stick to whiskey... so... William Larue Weller it is.

Jim: Looks pretty good, although, the name of that drink is making me crave a martini with japaleno stuffed olives.

Good looking drink Al and Marc (especially the Yolanda and Mai Tai). *Anvil time* for me: Rum Alexander This is one delicious cocktail. My husband took one sip of mine and claimed it as his own! I made another and, unfortunately, it was so good that I already finished mine. 1 oz Gosling's dark rum 1/2 oz Marie Brizzard creme de cacao 1/2 oz heavy cream sprinkles of cinnamon on top

I like anything called Peat Monster, how is it? Marc: What is this blog (underhill lounge)? So, I guess I haven't noticed. Yes, some of us having been working through Anvil 100 list (from the Houston bar) for some time.... Jim and Al finished long ago.... I have to work so unlike them so I am way behind... Marc decided to go through Dr. Cocktail's book so he is also behind... some of us (cough cough Mike, Gene....) are not manly enough to make cocktails. You have a lot of catching up to do! Good stuff. No, but I haven't looked. I'll ask them about it the next time I am there. ------ Tonight I made my first my "raw egg" cocktail - I need to make more of these.... I like the frothiness! Anvil # 70 Pink Lady 3/2 oz Bluecoat gin 1/2 oz Daron XO Calvados Egg white from 1 egg Lemon juice from 1/2 of a lemon 1 tsp homemade grenadine Add ice and shake like a mad(wo)man!

Al: That looks good, I am jealous. Jim and Marc: Thanks for the rum recommendations. I checked my store and they have the Smith and Cross, Wray and Nephew white overproof, and various El Dorado rums so I will pick up some of those. I did find some forget about the Goslings I had in the cabinet (need a bigger cabinet) so I am not bad off as I thought. Tonight with dinner, I opened a bottle of 2009 Columbia Crest Indian Wells Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a really nice was, especially for the price (~$15). *Anvil TIme* Monkey Gland 3/2 oz Bluecoat gin 3/2 oz fresh squeezed orange juice 1 tsp homemade grenadine 1 tsp Vieux Carre absinthe This drink is pretty nice and much better than the name sounds.

Looking through my liquor cabinet, I realize that I am very low on rum. I have about a 1/2 bottle of Zacapa 23. Any suggestions would be welcome for dark, light, overproofed, etc. rum for mixing and sipping.

They might have two different gift packs. I am pretty sure the one I saw had jam but I cannot confirm that since I didn't buy it.

And now what did you do TODAY?
Mike, those ribs look fantastic. I really do need to get a smoker! Do you have both a BGE and a Traeger now? Which do you prefer?

@ Jim: Haven't tried the Tito's yet but thought I should have some in house being in Texas... but now that I have heard Marc's comments on Titos I am probably not going to be in a big hurry to try it. Also, be careful about the Luxardo gift pack, the one they had at my liquor store had cherry jam, not cherries (although the cherry jam is probably good).
