  8. it's been a while since i've gone climbing, but i had a pretty big interest in it during my high school and early college days. obviously with med school now, i'm not going to have much time to do it, but i guess i want to know the feeling of being on top of the world.
  9. it's always been a dream of mine actually. not sure if i'll ever do it, but it just seems like something i'd like to accomplish

  11. hey, no worries deepak. my response to the liebman sachs post was more in concern about your patient than my ex, although it does get me worrying at times. but, in all seriousness, i happen to enjoy the random medical discussions that pop up here
  12. i do not know a single doctor who drives a 100k car or lives in a 2 mil house. only one i know who lives in a big ass house is a husband-wife who are a radiologist and a dermatologist.
  13. heh, i haven't. migraines are serious. i'm talking regular little headaches. people come to the ER for tylenol.
  14. "your foot hurts? hell...we'll just cut it off"
  15. well i'm glad that it's not lupus, that's a whole other monster.
  16. never had to go to the ER personally, however, i did do an internship in one during my junior year of college. what i can say is that, yes, people do wait, but at least people get treated in a timely fashion. the more severe cases go first, but most, if not all, people are seen by doctors. lots of people go to the ER for little things, a cough or a headache. those people are lucky that they are seen for colds or headaches because they have insurance. imagine now that there is universal health care. imagine how many more people will be in the ER over little matters. that takes up doctor time that other people with more severe problems need.
  17. never heard of John Birch Society, i should look into this
  18. well i changed it, but the message is simple to understand. it's what happens with universal health care.
  19. sorry, it was the first link on google. let me change it.
  20. RA? Man I'm sorry, how long have you had it? My ex-girlfriend had RA first, then it changed to lupus.
  21. i'm not saying that our current health care system is perfect, it's far from it. but when you got shit like this happening with universal health care, you know it's not working
