nope not at all. i actually had my external hard drive formatted to NTFS when I first got it and just used it that way for like a year. i ended up reformatting it to HFS+ since I know i won't be going to windows anytime

what i don't buy is the fact that you don't seem to have a problem with it. understandably you're a mod over there and it's your job to "accept" everyone into a new community, but you're telling me that you wouldn't change the ways things are done over there seeing as how ridiculous that place has become in the past few years?

Sure, people annoy the shit out of me a lot. I can't even count the number of kids that pissed the fuck out of me at Northwestern, but yeah, I ignored them. Here's the difference though, if I didn't want to be around them, I didn't have to be. The thing about head-fi is that there is a constant influx of them, and they are unavoidable. They're in every sub-forum of that place posting ridiculous threads and posts that don't do much more than add to the mess that's already there.

I've always felt that this was one of head-fi's biggest problems. Sure, sure, I may seem like an ass when I say I've become increasingly annoyed with the newer members of head-fi, but i bet a lot of people would agree with me. the number of inane posts that populate head-fi makes my head spin. that's what's so nice about this place...there's no fake acceptance of people because we're forced to. if we don't like you, we let you know, and it's up to you to deal with it.

the message that we've been trying to get across is simple. you can't just barge in here and settle right in. take your fucking time to get acclimated to the place and read some of the threads to figure out what we're all about. if you're going to start posting your nonsense threads without taking into account about how we may feel about them or about you, then you can either take the shit or leave. simple as that. as Ian said, the beauty of this place is that it's self-policed. t.rose gets a free ticket to be a shill and troll his crap all around head-fi because people can't say shit to let him know that he's an annoying fuck because all you mods censor shit like it's your full-time jobs. ban here, ban there, and then everyone keeps quiet. ignore list may help, but if you got someone like t.rose (or jagwire) replying to every post in threads, then it gets annoying. as for billy, what confuses me most is that he knows what this forum is like, yet he continually stirs shit up, plays the part of the hypocrite, and then gets confused by how we respond to him. it's a fucking mystery.

You didn't take time to read anything else that's on this forum and realize that the people here are more knowledgeable about audio gear than 99% of the fucktards that populate head-fi. This forum is a place where people can actually say what they want, without having to worry about nazi mods censoring everything that they don't agree with, and had you taken the time to read some of the more popular threads here, you would understand why we don't like you.
