It's by far the worst L glass that Canon makes.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
Some crappy HDR cuz I suck at real photography.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
Is it? It's really not. You might be able to find someone to do a straight trade. Now if you wanted the 16-35mm, then yeah, you'd be looking at a lot more money.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
The 5DIII will probably be this year. How experienced are you as a photographer? If you're relatively inexperienced the T2i is more than enough for now. Use it until you know all the functions like the back your hand. And develop enough skills so that the camera really becomes your limitation. You'll also find that IQ doesn't increase significantly by much as you go up the ladder. It's mostly the functions. As an example, take a look at knuckle's photos; He takes those with a 30D which is 3 generations old now. It's skill that's important, not gear. Pro photographers can get amazing photos with a polaroid camera. There's an old photographer saying (I'm paraphrasing by memory so forgive me). Beginners want gear, amateurs want skill, pros want light.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
I have a BlackRapid RS-7 and it is definitely my favorite camera accessory. I do wish they would make a version that attaches to either the strap holder or a slim fastener that would attach to the bottom of an Arca Swiss type plate. The one that they offer only works for Manfrotto. And congrats on that lens. It is just such a sick lens. IMO, tied with the 85mm 1.2L II as best that Canon makes.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
According to EXIF the first and last pic are at 2.5; The two in the middle are 1.4; Is the AF behaving much better on this copy?- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
This is the same experience I had with the 50mm 1.4.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.

Is this thing still coming along?- Moth EC2a3 specs
JP, tbh, the ec2a3 isn't anything special in terms of speaker amplification. Other 2a3's will do the same job. You didn't lose out on much.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.

That really sucks man. How are the optics?- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
But it's a Pentax. That being said, that one at f/29 is pretty cool.how does it manage to stay sharp at that kind of aperture. Or maybe I'm not seeing it correctly because I'm typing this on a phone.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
I'm pretty much only interested in plates. I have a feisol and photo clam setup- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
So I'm thinking about buying an Arca-Swiss type quick release plate. Should I get one that custom fitted for the 7d? Or one of the universal ones? Is it much grippier? I'm thinking about either Kirk, Arca, Acratech, RRS, Photoclam. Acratech and Photoclam seem like the cheapest options but I don't know how much quality matters in these cases.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
It's really sick that you can get that kind of performance at ISO 1600 on a 30D.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
and I was excited about the 85mm too... Now there's a $2470 Sigma 70-200mm too that no one will buy. Maybe some crazy semi-pros that went the Sony or Sigma route.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
i think we all agree that 3rd party lenses on Canon bodies leave a lot to be desired.- Optimizing build order in Starcraft II using GAs
I did 7RR up to diamond. with the increased range, it's uber cheap and pretty immune to blokoffs.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
Yeah, make sure you try the Sigma on the Canon first. Some of them have horrendous focusing problems. edit: Seems that CanonDirect already has $100 off the 60D. Guess it'll be 900 before the holidays.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
