  1. Did this person ever look like he'd sell stereos, or perhaps crash a wedding? **BRENT**
  2. I'd be happy to store some stuff for you. **BRENT**
  3. Not far off. So after the ride yesterday I get a message from another dad/son biker friend and we went to the pump track. What a great day! **BRENT**
  4. You just bought a new fatbike instead of getting new wheels, so that doesn't really count. And your trainer wheels are worth more than my vehicle with the bike on the rack, so DIAF. **BRENT**
  5. When has that ever stopped you? **BRENT**
  6. Hah. Just realized the easiest way to get Jeff to buy new wheels: "Hey Jeff, I have those Shimano R500 wheels on my bike too!" On another note, been a bike heavy day today. Had a swap meet and bought 40$ of stuff for 30$, then went and ride with Xavier and one of good friends and their family. **BRENT**

  8. Biscuits are so delicious. **BRENT**
  9. That's great! ALT+0168 for the ASCII character, right? I remember using that all the time back in the day, but never knew the background. Perhaps this will help me in a trivia match one day, and not be just a way to make a text smiley with the tongue in the middle instead of on the side. **BRENT** Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  10. This thread is making me happy. **BRENT** Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  11. Going to see Morris Day and the Mother Fuckin' Time tonight, so boning up on back catalogue. **BRENT**
  12. Get the i7 and 16. My reasoning is 3 fold: 1) Stop being poor. 2) This is d-_-b 3) It seems to kept your MBA for quite a while. The i5 will be fine for quite a while, and I can't imagine 16 GB of RAM being a bottleneck for years to come. However, in 3-4 years I can see you getting frustrated with it feeling a bit sluggish, where the i7 would probably get you 4-5. You may not care and just get another in 3 years, but if you can see wanting 4-5 for an extra couple hundred vs dropping 1500 again a year or two earlier makes sense to me. FWIW, I have an Ultrabook that's 4.5 years old with an i7 that would be OK had it more RAM, but even the processor is starting to show it's age. **BRENT** Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  13. Bah, was holding off on biscuits to help out Chris (but don't tell him that) and was elated to see what I thought was a cracked screen. Alas. Enjoy the new toy; maybe PUBG will come out with a GRW-esque companion app for you. **BRENT**
  14. The Reynolds are dirty now, that's the big reason for need for ENVE. And, as he said, dropped a good bit of weight off those DTs, so even accounting for tires they probably aren't the model you were thinking of, anyway. I think it's time to go full custom, Jeff. **BRENT**
  15. He has DT Swiss. **BRENT**
  16. Time to upgrade to ENVE. **BRENT** Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  17. Stretch, check out Canyon Bikes. Well thought of direct to consumer bike that we can't get in the states til later this year. That could be cool. https://www.canyon.com/en-us/mtb/ **BRENT** Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  18. Ludacris from the VIP pier at Riverbend. **BRENT**
  19. Ask Colin, he uses one a bit. We enjoy the recs of The Sweet Home. **BRENT** Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  20. It's over UCI minimum. I say junk it. Have any shots with it on the ground? **BRENT** Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  21. A PITA. **BRENT** Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  22. My part-time cat, John Dorian. **BRENT**
  23. Is that legal in stock class? I'd check the rule books, just in case. **BRENT**
  24. Muahahahahaha. That's good enough. I have a couple buddies (brothers) who run an e-bike shop locally, so I've gotten to ride a few. This may be a little small in their largest, but I think it'd it the bill. Faraday Porteur in British Racing Green (or white, if you're one of those people) is a fun little around town bike. Definitely get the Brooks Saddle upgrade if you look at that, and all the racks. And don't forget the important part... whisk(e)y flask holders! https://www.ahearnecycles.com/shop/spaceman-bicycle-flask-holster https://www.ahearnecycles.com/products/ As far as the Stretch-powered stuff, there are going to be a lot of good options. A dual suspension XC bike or maybe a nice hardtail trail bike, in 27.5+ or 29+, would probably work out well. Looking for something a bit esoteric/bike nerdy? **BRENT**
  25. Straight up fat bikes, or plus bikes (27.5+ / 650b+ / 29+ (from Trek))? Fats bikes will have their place, but I think they will eventually fade to fairly niche. Plus bikes, though, seem to have a found a place in the mainstream. They have a bit more comfort due to more air volume/lower pressures, and they tend to have more grip as well, while still fitting into many more bike racks than a fat bike would. Lots of good options out there for what you'd like. Also, you can probably get by with just 3-4 bikes. A few less than Jeff, but since you definitely, for sure, bought that trainer, you don't have to worry about your disc brake gravel/cross bike not fitting on your smart trainer. **BRENT** Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
