What might be significant to one person might be insignificant to another. It?s all perception and your definition of the particular word because some one might consider a minor change to be a 5% to 10% difference while another might consider the same change to be major.

I thought the same way. I wanted to see cold hard data, but after talking with a few individuals much more knowledgeable about this stuff then probably either of us I started to accept the fact that most of the changes aren?t really significantly measurable. In fact, they suggested to me that one of the most precise instruments is the human ear. Some people have better hearing then others. And virtual everyone can work to a certain degree to improve their critical listening skills, but at some point trusting your own hearing and being as objective as possible with each new piece of gear is a positive thing to works towards.

I am still pretty skeptical when it comes to burn-in. I even find it amusing when people talk about their IEMs burning in (which I don?t believe is actually possible). Yet, even though, I am skeptical I?ve had varying degrees of audible improvements. When I listen to a brand new source I usually don?t focus so much on the subjective stuff, but actual quantitative things such as detail retrieval within a particular track that I know well. The biggest gains I?ve experienced during the burn in process have been with my digital source (Apollo). And second have been while breaking-in the A900 and SR225, yet I am not so sure how much was attributable to burn-in and/or psycho-acoustical. I suppose getting use to new gear is like getting a new prescription from your optometrist and then allowing your brain a few hours or days to fully adjust to the new lenses or contacts.

Sony is always ahead of the curve when it comes to electronic technological advances. Those camera CD players are the wave of the future and they certainly come in handy at meets and social gatherings.

Vinyl is good stuff, but it's like where does it end... Turntable groundwire another pair of RCA cables phono stage or preamp cartridge isolation of some sort wall mount or rack brush tracking device/guage/force set-up record clamp mat old turntable to clean LPs LP storage Cleaning fluid cleaning bottles cleaning brushes Recording Cleaning machine new rice paper shelves new plastic wrap of the LPs arm upgrades etc..? Did I miss anything? Oh yeah, buying the high-fidelity 180 gram stuff is pricey. Set-up challenging and requires a bit of patience. Is all this stuff necessary some say yes other say no.

I"ve got a few Lennon solo albums, but never seem to be able to listen to the entire thing. Sgt. Pepper, Revolver, Let it Be, White Album, Magical Mystery Tour, Help, Abbey Road, and Rubber Soul? It?s a long and diverse body of work from three (four) very talented guys. I need to got those albums you mentioned.

Lennon wrote great music with Paul for nearly a decade before she appeared and would have done so with or without her. Yoko wasn't a muse for Lennon. Lennon had some great solo stuff, but his stuff with the Beatles is my preference.

I believe every website has an informational background page that the creator(s) and/or owner(s) fill out. Usually, it has some contact information like a brick and mortar address and telephone number among other things. Anyone can find this information online about nearly any website. It?s like the webs yellow-pages. This publicly accessible Head-Fi contact information got posted on Head-Fi. It included Jude's full name, an address, and telephone number all of which most likely were provided by Jude at some point. Additionally, this info led to another website that lists a work number for Jude too.

Probably because the information you posted is publicly accessible by anyone with time, a working computer, and an internet connection.

Bizarre is something out of the ordinary or unusual... When I saw your thread, I knew it was only a matter of time before the powers that be vaporized it. That wasn't bizarre that was within the normal course of business. I didn?t expect anything else. I would have done the same thing. I can't imagine how it would feel to have my telephone number released on Head-Fi (even work) and the potential of receiving hundreds of telephone calls from Head-Fiers all around the world. Hello, is Jude there? Then probably after you couldn't take another call you would change your number.
