Actually $1000 no contract makes sense, remember most of the current top tier smartphones are in the $500+ range if you get them without a contract.

I like the HE-5's but they aren't a typical load compared to most headphones, they are low impedance and inefficient. I wouldn't say they are better than the HD800 as they are so different. To me the best way to describe them is that they have the speed and clarity of good Stax with the weight in the low-end of good dynamics.

i dropped the auto-sizing back down to 800 then.

the scaling is controlled by an auto-resizing image plugin i have. it was initially set to limit sig images to 500 pixels wide, so i bumped it up to 1024. but if thats going beyond the forum border for some people i'll drop it back down to 800. though i am surprised anyone is still using a resolution as low as 1024 width.

Made some changes to the default theme, so now all the user info is on the left, and I've removed as much space between post text and signature as the system will let me.

yeah the stats thing at the bottom is a plugin no idea what causes those extra characters. doesn't seem to affect anything so it's not high on the list to look into.

smilies are still there, just hit go advanced. the plugin that added them to the quick reply was fucking stuff up so it's disabled for the time being.

try it now, it's possible that a plugin was causing the problem (i just disabled the plugin and it's working fine for me now)

Welcome to vB 4 the upgrade went pretty smoothly, still working out a few kinks so if you find anything missing or wrong PM me. Also your notice a lot of junk content on the main Home (CMS) page, this is part of the default install and I'll be removing it shortly. Didn't make any sense to keep the forums closed while I clean that up.

Why not get network attachment for the Drobo, then you can just use it as a regular NAS. Instead of screwing around w/ something like macdrive.

Those are awfully expensive for something that looks like it'd fall apart if you look at it wrong.

That's fixed, the mod that creates that page got very confused when I removed the download mod.

In preparation for the upcoming upgrade from vB 3.8 to vB 4 I'll be doing a bit of house cleaning. So you might see some functionality loss as I remove plugins/mods that are no longer supported or have features that are built into vB 4. I'll provide a date and time for when the upgrade will occur as I get closer to being ready.
