i still think it's stupid they are debuting it on t-mobile. at least its hitting verizon in the spring.
  3. Seems like a worthless rant to me, any movie that more than a few people would ever want is very likely out on dvd. DVD's should last for a very long time if they are handled properly. The real problem with getting older and smaller films onto new formats isn't the new formats its the piss poor quality and lack of availability of the original source material. Before the rise of dvd there really wasn't much financial incentive to keep source material in good quality as the studios figured they'd never make anymore money once the theater runs ended. So often times the originals were tossed in some warehouse to be lost forever. With dvd and now blu-ray and digital distribution the studios actually have financial incentive to keep their originals in good quality (or likely in some digital format backed-up in several locations). So while not much can be done about films of the past, it's a very good sign for the films of today.
  4. happy b-day jacob
  5. reported heart muscle problems, nothing immediately life-threatening but he is done coaching.

yeah the multi-touch thing on the Droid is weird, as 3rd party apps have it just none of the default android google stuff supports it.

I'm gonna try to keep an open mind with these and see how they actually sound. I've been surprised before.....

  20. To me they were just very boring and lifeless sounding phones.
  21. I use two and they are the best pillows I've ever had.
  22. a desktop board is fine, you could use the on-board sata and software raid and/or additional raid cards. really depends on how many drives you have.
  23. with that much data it's stupid to be spreading it over multiple single drives, at least setup a server w/ a raid 5 or 6 array. it's no replacement for real backups but will protect against drive failures.
  24. denon 9200? didn't know such a thing existed, if you mean the exemplar 2900 it sure as hell doesn't use EL-34s.....
  25. It's still one of the best blu-ray players around.
