Yeah, that's what I think. Fuckin' jitter can go to hell. I thought most modern DACs were "immune" to jitter.

I was always under the impression that so long as you got "bit perfect" out to your DAC, it was all good. Is this true? Am I dumb? Learn me.

Mine was a bit different. It was more intense when I was at rest. But my arm was very week and it hurt to lift it above my head. As I recall, the pain started on the right side of my neck and radiated down my arm through my elbow and down to my pinky. It sucked. It's also the same shoulder I injured playing baseball in high school 127 years ago. But I wonder if you might have a muscle spasm due to using the crutches. When I was in law school, I carried a heavy messenger bag. As the semester wore on, I would get an awful knot right under my shoulder blade that would radiate down my arm. It was very uncomfortable because it was really hard to pinpoint the pain. It still happens when I carry a heavy bag for too long. I think that's the subscapularis muscle. Does your pain start in or very near your shoulder blade?

Reksy, that's really weird. When I was on regular vicodin meds post-op, I developed a horrible pain on my left side from my neck to my pinky. I was convinced that they had done something to a nerve in surgery (they did manage to paralyze part of my diaphragm, but that's another story). Nothing showed up on any tests with the shoulder, neck, arm, etc. And I was seriously convinced it was at least a pinched nerve. I was writhing in pain. Oddly, it improved as I weaned off the meds. I attributed that to coincidence at the time, but I have taken Rx pain meds a few times since and have noticed a similar pain, though not as intense. Maybe one of our docs can ring in here if this is some sort of known side effect. Hope it is easily rectified, regardless, you've been through enough.

My point is that the onus shouldn't be on you to burn the thing in within the 30 day window. If the literature suggests the DAC will improve with 200 hours of burn in (which I doubt) then the manufacturer should do one of the following: (a) burn it in before it leaves the mfr.'s premises or ( extend the trial period to 60 days.

Get the BHSE.

My office is closed due to the snow as is my wife's. Now I'm wondering if I'll still get charged with a vacation day. Our neighborhood is all messed up; it's fun watching MTA buses getting stuck. The wind is awful, and particularly bad in our neighborhood. My son lasted exactly 3 minutes outside yesterday. And he's made it clear that he has no intention of going outside today. Can't say I disagree with that.

I bet the HF kid is leaving out important facts. I'm not saying he's in the wrong, but there's usually more going on than the complainer lets on.

Battening down the hatches for the approaching blizzard. My son got a kitchen play set from Santa (read grandparents) that's going to require time, patience, and mucho beer to put together. Then the Jets game and lots of screaming. Should be a nice day.

That situation is unfortunate, but Jesus Christ, if you're sending $2k worth of IEMs overseas, then spring for FedEx and insure the things.
