  1. The Eagle has landed in my stomach once again. Funny how that happens.
  2. That's one hell of a nice watch.
  3. Looks pretty good to me.
  4. Wow! That's a big deal. Congrats!
  5. Right on, Nate. Happy Birthday!
  6. ^Same here. I have been feeling lousy all week, but staying hydrated I think has helped a bit.
  7. I helped, too. Just not as much.
  8. All the better to see your brand spankin' new iPad.
  9. I want a Mai Tai. And some WLW.
  10. I've made my peace with not getting it...at least for tonight.
  11. First, Terres Dorees (Jean-Paul Brun) 2009 Moulin-a-Vent. The 2009 Beaujolais are nothing to sneeze at. Visited with my mother-in-law, so I've moved on to Eagle Rare.
  12. Happy Birthday!
  13. Yeah, I haven't seen confirmation on the RAM, aren't they really prickly about that? Oh, and engadget seems to like the device: Update: Okay, we've had a chance to play around the with iPad 2 some more, and here are our big takeaways from the experience. * This thing is insanely fast. We're not joking -- it's blazingly fast. Everything the iPad 2 does feels like it's on turbo. We're uploading a video of the some evidence of this, you'll be appropriately stunned. * The design feels great in your hands. Sleek, super thin -- much nicer to hold than the previous version. Definitely has more of a magazine than book feel. Everything is tight and solid. It is pretty amazing how thin they've gotten the device. * Even software made for the first generation device feels better here. Safari is definitely sped up. Games looked great on-screen, though obviously there are no updates to the resolution of screen technology here. * This is an evolutionary step, but we definitely don't feel like it's lacking for features. People are going to gobble these up when they see the new apps.
  14. Yeah, kind of a sneaky (read smart) ploy to get folks like me to upgrade.
  15. A quick glance at ebay showed one going for $525 with a few mins left. I think $500 is where it will be.
  16. It appears that iPad 1Gs are available through Apple for $100 off. They're going to have a hard time moving them at those prices, I think. Regardless, that means a 64GB 3G model is now $729. Is it reasonable to think you could fetch $500 for a used First gen 64GB 3G? If so, with the new hotspot functionality, the 64GB iPad 2 with wi-fi only becomes more compelling.
  17. Not yet. iirc, we need to wait for the tear-down for that info.
  18. I may downgrade my initial fffuuu to a ffuu.
  19. Big updates to garageband and imovie. Seems like a major focus here is content creation in addition to consumption.
  20. you can see audio waveforms in iMovie.
  21. faceTime looks like it could be pretty cool.
  22. new "covers" instead of cases attach via magnets.
