Yup. I'm on board with all comments made GPH and skullguise. The B's need to get much more traffic in front of Price and take the puck to the net. Perfect road game by the Habs, so hats off to them. I was a little pissed that B's fans started booing in game 1 of the playoffs though. Also, to add to boomana's Wings comment, I think everyone should watch Datsyuk every chance they get, he is an under-rated artist out there. I honestly think at times he is pure magic with his space creation and puck protection. Hats off to the Sabres as well, they scrambled a bit, but Miller earned his SO.

Since I started this thread about scaling with the 13, it took a few different turns and directions. This is in part due to an itchy trigger finger, new budget constraints, and information overload. Anyway, I ultimately decided until I can save enough to spend 2K+ on a PWD (and matching donor program for the wife, which was a budget killer, but a partner keeper) I will have to wait to scale the mountain. I bought a used Pico dac to pair with the G-lite and I think I will be happy (for awhile). So, thanks everyone for the advice and conversation. See ya around. Cheers.

Yeah when I first started looking into headphones I asked some questions, did some research, etc and figured that no matter what happened after, the JH13 would sound good out of an iPhone/iPod and have the potential to sound even better and more amazing as I progressed up the component chain. I jumped on one of the deals they offered and that was that. So I sort of bought the 13 thinking long term and very multi-use. Its worked out well so far. I'm using the pure music demo right now to see if I dig it, I'm not sure yet. The Neko D100 definitely is on my look at hard list. Its nice to know it pairs well with the Gilmore lite. Thanks for that. Thanks also Larry for the advice, I would most likely be sticking to iMac or macbook as my main music server for the foreseeable future.

Well, I bought a Gilmore Lite with DPS today, instead of a source, . This is due to having an itchy trigger finger, not being able to settle on a DAC yet, and I got a good local deal. I figure I can find a nice DAC now to feed it and be happy for a while. I'm still looking at maybe a Duet or a used Northstar that is on audiogon right now, while the PWD is out at this time, due to it's price which is stemming from a new rule from the wife that whatever I spend on audio, she gets to match. This fucking rule hammers my budget.

I also like this thought process and was waiting for you to chime in eventually on this topic, especially considering I've seen you dac-off online.....

So..Can any owners current or past chime in here for myself and the artist formally known as, please, at some point...

Can't you substitute pretty much any DAC or Amp with the PWD in the sentence above and have the rest be true? What I mean is, it seems there are always some owners who are chasing the next upgrade or best sound and then some owners who remain content, regardless of what gear it is. I think this may be the more important question. I'm not trying to be being an asshole, just saying. Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestions MASantos and the reassurance's boomana. boomana, which home source do you use with your 13's and the slim? It would seem a funny juxtaposition to pair the pico slim with a 'big gear' DAC like the PWD or some such thing. I'm still tossing ideas around and looking for a steal on a used Northstar to start my trip down the rabbit hole. I'm also looking the duet now for a source as I'm a mac guy. Thanks JP, that is very helpful, on many accounts. It's good to hear that they will scale like a motherfucker (I enjoy swearing, when able) and that I could build a nice home set-up around them and be very pleased and not waste money doing so. I guess I have my DAC's pretty much narrowed down, now to figure out the next part in the chain....cheers to all and thanks...
