What's the range of the servo? I'm looking to build the new BIII pro and the new output stage uses servos to control the offset. When measured the balanced output is showing 0.5 mv, the se output is showing around 1mv. I know the gain will happily multiply that so that plus adding in what may show up from just building the amp I'm wondering if it's too much for the servo to handle

RIP someone or another
+1 on that. Lost my father in law back in July. Still can't really talk about it. I couldn't see him in the last days. However, he came to me in a dream a few days ago. He was checking out the new fish in the reef tank like he always did, I thought someone broke in, I went to approach and realized it was him. He said its ok, it's ok son, then he was gone. I felt very calm when I woke up in the morning like a weight was lifted. I'm guessing that was him saying goodbye

Need suggestion for best slim optical disk drive
I seem to remember something like it could. I do also remember something about ripping the audio from DVDs in another program as well. If I have time tonight I'll poke around on the machine to see what work. IFO edit comes to mind or at the very least tells you what the audio tracks are like 2ch stereo with whatever processing like dolby etc.

Need suggestion for best slim optical disk drive
I use makemkv for DVD's so far. Haven't ripped Blurays yet. For DVD-A I've been using DVD Audio extractor I think. For CD's Foobar200 lately, previously EAC

Need suggestion for best slim optical disk drive
That seems to be what's widely available. I was hoping for an internal sweet spot so I could ditch the external part. I forgot that internal slim drives are not very reliable. I haven't relied on disk based media in the workplace for years this was the most accurate as of 2016 Lite-On DVD Burner Black SATA Model iHAS124-14

true, I guess I was trying to un clutter my rack. I'm not opposed to a full size drive, what's the best out there these days?

Need suggestion for best slim optical disk drive
I need to purchase a slim SATA ODD for a slim HTPC case. I'll need DVD, CD, and Blu-Ray read support (best accuracy is what I'm looking for). Write support is not as important but CDR, DVDR would be needed at least. I'm really looking for the best slim ODD to finish ripping my CD, DVD, Blu-Ray collection to storage.

I count 7 5K resistors... I have them all, did you mean problematic to find?
-

I was going to ask someone to circle them, as I'm not sure where those caps and resistors are either

Which Cooking Are You?
bah... It was delicious. Forgot to take pics, but the skin came out crunchy. The pope's nose was the best

Which Cooking Are You?
I dry brined and organic turkey breast, getting ready to wash and pat dry. I'll rub it with olive oil and re-season the skin a bit. I'll roast it at 425 F for 25-30 minutes for crispy skin then turn it down to 325 F and cook it until it reaches 165 F Do you all think that's a good plan?

cool... I'd be using them for the latest dynahi and dynalo boards. That'd work right? I'd be willing to buy a lockyz curve tracer for the matching as long as someone made sure I was using it right and then double checked my findings. Or I could loan it out for the job

Like, could I get a few pairs from ya? Those are what went into the original Dynahi back from headwize right? I'd be willing to do the group buy for these plus anything else needed if there isn't already one

The best solution I've found is to wrap the transformer in a strip of grain oriented steel. I was able to get mine from Avel Lindberg where I bought the transformer. Beyond that it seems hard to source by itself. This place has it https://www.don-audio.com/radiation-shielding-magnetic-shielding-tafo-hum-trafo-shielding-electro-magnetic-sheets-grain-oriented-electric-sheets-electro-magnetic-foil-shielding-foil-shielding-sheets

Quick simple tweak for any system.
This thread made me chuckle... Let us not forget the $75 audiophile grade receptacle cover https://www.amazon.com/Furutech-104-D-Carbon-Hi-Performance-Duplex/dp/B00P25D12W/ref=pd_bxgy_23_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=H26RM3V25ZJS0RWBBQXE

USB Audio tweaks
1. It works fine when powering it with a portable battery pack. 2. The pack stays on while the device is in use. The cable has only +5V and GND connected to the external in on the eval board. 3. It does sound better to my ears. There's more impact, highs are not as harsh. Defrinitely worth taking another step so I'm going to make a data only cable with some mil-spec shieled 3 conductor wore from navships and USB connectors from mouser

USB Audio tweaks
I'm about to find out if it makes a difference. Klaus the cat chewed through a lightning cable the other day so I'll use the USB A end to test out the portable battery pack.

What are you EATING right now?
lol!!! I love it. In hind sight it was a bit odd that there was dim lighting and wood paneling on the walls

What are you EATING right now?
Indeed... It's not as bad as it seems. To each his own, but for me I reached a point where I couldn't take it anymore. The real story is that it made me a bit more aware of what I'm eating and made me at least add fiber and fresh vegetables to my everyday diet. Or every other day lol!

USB Audio tweaks
Yeah, I'd have to crack it open to see what's regulating the power. It's kinda like the older ipods where there's a face plate that's only held on the front with adhesive. I'm afraid if I peel it off it'll bend and look shitty when I put it back together.

What are you EATING right now?
I know Steve's gonna have field day with this but... I once had the same issue. Found a wellness clinic that did colonics. I got one, albeit humiliating. It worked like a charm. It got whatever was eating my gut. Haven't had a problem since and I'd say that was 10 years ago
