  1. You just need to cover all those wires up in ERS paper so that she can't see them!
  2. 12 channel is clearly better than 6 channel... sounds good to me.
  3. http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=253503 Jeezus... a natural V shaped EQ and you need to ram pieces of power cord into the earcups to make them fit properly! Themz some good headfones!
  4. I'm with Dusty, upgrade your nuts man...
  5. Oops, with all that quoting I got Nate and Jay mixed up. My bad. Periods be fo suckahs y'all! Respeck!
  6. Ouch, fair enough.
  7. I used an exclamation point, which shows more enthusiasm. You used a period. Exclamation FTW!
  8. Happy Birthday Todd!
  9. Good impressions, but coming from two PS-1 fanboys.
  10. Daaamn... those are purdy!
  11. That's the idea.
  12. Maybe he skips one of the stages on the RCA outputs?
  13. LOL, that was hilarious!
  14. Not sure what sky hooks are, but I will definately keep the woo audio stuff in mind when planning the rebuild. I gave peter those motor run caps btw. I have a feeling that why his soldering looks so ghetto is that he uses a solder gun. Not 100% on that, but that is my guess.
  15. Really? We'll have to have a closer look at everything the next time we open it up... probably to install that bridge rectifier you recommended in place of that mess of diodes. Maybe so, but in reality I think most of the parts he uses are fine. People tend to go overboard with boutique parts in most cases. This is a bad thing? I might take some new pictures once we finish on it, but I think it is beating a dead horse at this point. I think we all know that his work is sloppy. I wouldn't recommend him at this point unless the person really knew what they were getting into and was ok with that. Nice, can't wait to see it. Justin does very nice work, if only I could afford it.
  16. I'm thinking it is something KA-razy like L3000's or R10's, but we'll just have to wait and see.
  17. I really don't understand Peters thing with balance controls... I think they are useless personally. Nice, I can't wait to see how your blue hawaii turns out. Thread crap? This is head-case buddy, no worries.
  18. Yes and no. I agree that a professional build should look better than that. However, my design was completely custom and I believe Pabbi's was the first prototype [could be wrong here], so the initial layout can change a lot as the circuit is tweaked. We both sent our amps back for further work as well which can only add to the mess. That said, I doubt that his production amps look much better. I think it is just the way Peter works. I'd love to see it change, but for now I am happy that my amp sounds so good... I may still do a complete rebuild at some point, but its not on the top of my list right now.
  19. Peters casework definitely leaves MUCH to be desired, but as far as the amp circuitry, it is not good, but not terrible for point to point. Before we worked on mine it looked worse than that. I was very lucky to have Renato to turn to, sorry that you couldn't work your issues out in a similar way. Shipping back and forth to Peter must have been brutal. Not sure what type of impressions I posted in the meet impressions thread, but I loved the Gammas on your amp. Listened to some stuff Peter put on as well as a fair bit of massive attack.
  20. Thats like me and the wife... and we got married when I was 23.
  21. As for the original question, I've owned both and the Dynahi is superior in every way to my ears. This is not just with the K340... also with K240S, K271S, Grados, etc. That said, if you've only got low impedance headphones the Dynalo is a great value. It might do well with the easier to drive high impedance headphones like the HD600[and family], but it doesn't cut it for the K340s.
  22. I've only played 2-3 times, but I always seem to clean up. Beginners luck I guess.
  23. Man, I'm sorry you've had to go through this pabbi. As for it turning your stomach though, I thought you really liked the sound and your only complaint was that it had some slight issues with Tool?
  24. Wait, there are three flavours? WTF?!
