It's 6:30. I leave in two hours, and in my usual style, I'm sitting here drinking coffee while considering what I should pack. I did just realize that my newish computer has practically no music on it, but I managed to find a new external hard drive (thanks, Mike), so that's coming. I bought little bags of almonds and some shampoo yesterday, and charged up the pico slim. That's about as far as I've gotten. EDIT: I found that little crank handle phone charger with all the different connector thingies. It will at least be entertaining to see if it works.

My mother, being a bit odd, gave me a crank (as in a little handle that turns) cell phone charger for Christmas that supposedly has connections for every cell phone except the one I have. I have no idea if or how it works, but If I can find it, I'll bring it.

According to weather.com, it's only 59 there now, and is supposed to be in the 70s in the day and the low 60s at night this weekend, with a thunderstorm on Friday night. That's freaking winter weather.

Ran around doing errands all day in the sometimes rain. My friend with the Flyers jersey forgot to bring it when we met up. Just realized that it's going to be cool in Chicago, and that was going to be my one warm thing. Oh well.

Well, I do think there's a lot to be said for the quality of the headphone when it's capable scaling well and revealing system changes. That, to me, is a large part of defining quality. That's what a good headphone is supposed to do imo. If a headphone can't show marked improvements moving from, let's say, a decent cd source, to ironbut's killer source, I'd say the headphone quality was either mediocre and/or crazily flavored, not the system.

I wouldn't exactly put Ironbut's Master Tape Project/R2R/Zana Duex rig in the "crazily flavoured" category, but if that's the sort of thing you like, go for it.

You have a morning coffee headphone? I never appreciated the AD2000 until I heard them in Ironbut's rig. If you don't like the headphone, there's a decent chance that it's your system that's holding them back.

I'm technically on vacation in five minutes, but it now looks like I'll be working right up until the plane takes off on Thursday, and that's if I'm lucky. Matt, I'm really sorry you're not making it

I've been sitting in my office, phones and computers down, all day. Since this is my last day at work before vacation, it's really frustrating, and there's no way I won't be taking work with me to Chicaco now

Ken, have you heard yourself snore? You are worse by far than everyone else. Matt is also worse by far than everyone else. Everyone else is practicing just breathing loudly by comparison.

Actually, we can rate these things: Ken is the worst by far with Matt coming in a close second and either John or Gene right behind. I've heard rumors that Wayne was the worst, but he snored like a kitten purring when we shared a room, and Raffy and Dom don't snore at all. Neither did Stevieo. Can't believe I know these things first hand.

After gabbing with Matt the Younger today, it turns out I may be sharing my room, if that's what it takes to get him to CanJam. Must find my ER-20s asap!

Five Guys fries. I've never been here before and have to admit they're good, but the portion size is scary big.

Maybe I'm just sensitive these days, mostly with my girlfriends lecturing me fairly daily on how I have to stop being like one of the guys, but that really bothered me.
