Al, sorry to hear about Claire's job situation. My brother just retired from teaching (two weeks left), not because he wanted to retire, but because if he hadn't, his pension would basically suck as they're making huge cuts. He really wasn't given an option.

Because I don't like Chicago. I've also never been a Rangers fan, even when I lived in NY. Not a Devils fan. Never liked Pittsburgh, Anaheim, etc.

ooops. posted in the wrong thread, but what's funny is that I tried to buy an ipad today and couldn't. I must've come into this thread wishing I could post that I'd bought one. I did buy a very nice sheer lipstick with a raisin tint today. I like it very much.

I have the plastic sloping stands. Since I've had them on them since I got them, I don't really remember what they sounded like without. Still bloomy.

Well, I probably blew it. I went out to dinner with a friend, then went to the Apple Store because the guy on the phone said it would take seven days to get one if I ordered from the store, but once there, I was told folks have already been on the waiting list for two weeks. So, screw that. I'll either pick up the 64gb tomorrow or get one next week (Best Buy said they were getting a shipment on either Tues. or Thurs.) if it's no longer there. On the good front, my friend bought his first ipod, and I sold him my Kindle.

Damn. Best Buy only has the 64gb available in 3g and wi-fi now. The Apple Store has none available in 3g with a week to two week wait. I guess I shouldn't have hesitated two days ago when I had a 32gb in my hands. I know they had a few then, but since I, of course, wasn't getting one, I didn't really think about it.

Well, upon investigation of my toy money fund, it turns out I had more money than I thought (the benefits of not buying audio gear) and will be heading out from work today to pick one up

Agree on the A2s boom, but more like a mid-bass bloom, sort of soft, poofy, and very there. I found it very annoying at first, but I'm gotten used to it, and since I just use them at work and at a very low volume, they're okay.

X4. I, like most women it seems, have trouble finding jeans that fit. They make a "curvy" style, and that, along with one Lucky Jeans model, are about the only two I can wear. What I hate is that almost all women's jeans are now made of stretch denim, even the Levis.
