It is really sad what has become of the 'Egg. I remember, a dozen or so years ago, pricewatch.com was the place to shop for computer hardware. Then the 'Egg showed up and 'ricewatch became a thing of the past. I haven't had any experiences nearly as bad as the above, but these days I've been increasingly buying my computer hardware and the like from AMZN.

How about some vintage Yamaha porn? The FX-1 and its speakers (FM synthesis, ca. 1986) This is a very difficult synth to find info about, thanks to a pesky watercraft. The GX-1, a massive, polyphonic analogue synth from the mid 1970s. The rarest of them all, the EX-1. An "Electone" version of the GX-1. Diagram for the GX-1.

This is the first hour of the Giant Bomb panel at PAX East. Clocking in at over an hour, it's probably far longer than what the average HCer wants to sit through. I watched the entire thing last night and I'm pretty sure it's the funniest thing I've seen in 2013.
