  1. Addendum to my previous post:
  2. It had over 15,000 shares before FB removed it.
  3. Sup, Heads? Just got the word that I'll be on two hours early tonight, from 8-10PM Eastern.
  4. ^ Shitfuck. The zoom is underwhelming but the D600 is probably the best camera on the market right now that's under $5000.
  5. Now that I have a machine that can actually run KF at a decent frame rate, I should give it a go. Of course, to do that I'd have to stop playing Starcaft II for a minute...
  6. This might take a couple views to get. The new version of the forum software is really temperamental with YouTube links.
  7. Man, this live version rocks so much more than the poppy original. Also, lol 80s.
  8. Hay Guise, miss me? I just got the new 15" MBP up and running. Supposedly this is somewhere in Philly.
  9. Like a couple pages on FB and get a http://www.facebook.com/THQDemos?sk=app_395840630491782&app_data=us&code=AQBm9Y8J0mbL4vkFNE_U9wbuHpWTM_8UrNuvQrGfiXAAJ8a77hVDqTMymHcT1FJRybvJN8X-sXcakPLc3YWNUOQQgVADbwBBqprQG3u5R83oVLCNrN4Hq9Zk4RpkVEmn5ApFAItAM-v2HTqRsjEzsp2NB-7xG_JCfv344XYdHN-4aL_d-dQT74'>free copy of Metro 2033. It redeems on Steam.
  10. 'Bout that time, gents. My radio show is on the air right now, in Case you wanted to listen.
  11. Sunset Strip, 1979.
  12. The Humble THQ Bundle just added Titan Quest and some Red Faction DLC for those who beat the average. Below is a comment I wrote on reddit with my thoughts on TQ: Oh, Titan Quest. There is so much I can say about that sodding game. First off, does the Bundle include the Immortal Throne expansion pack? If not, you're really going to want that. Besides the extra content it offers (which is nice), it includes a number of mechanical fixes, which greatly improve item management. It also applies some enhancements to the engine and removes a number of graphical glitches I experienced with the original TQ. I bought the original TQ and the expansion back together during a previous Steam sale. Foolishly, I only installed TQ and beat the whole damn thing without even looking into Immortal Throne. Only when I installed IT did I realize how much pain and suffering I could have saved myself by installing both from the get-go. As some of my Steam friends may remember, I originally wrote an excoriating review of TQ but then kept playing it for untold hours. A friend of mine asked me "what gives" and upon reflection I took down my old review and wrote a new one. Steam only allows 1000 characters for reviews, which is pretty limiting to someone who's as prone to verbosity as myself, but I did manage to sum up most of my thoughts on the game: Yes, the above is my less venomous review. Keep in mind I did write that before I started in on Immortal Throne. Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoy the game and have played it for hours. TQ falls into the "flawed gem" category, which makes it at times immensely frustrating but also strangely compelling. The only reason I'm not still playing IT is that now have Torchlight II.
  13. Today Apple sent me a printable return shipping label ...for a MacBook Air with an order number that (strangely) doesn't match mine.
  14. The refurb'd 15" MacBook Pro I ordered was on the truck for delivery at 7:30AM this morning and it arrived at ...4:58PM this evening. FedEx doesn't deliver past 5PM in these parts, so I'm pleased it arrived. However... I let it sit for half an hour and warm up a bit. When I powered it on, there were two nasty red vertical lines running the length of the screen during the boot up screen. Once the machine had fully booted, I saw there was a third, blue one. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with AppleCare and I'll be receiving some shipping labels via email. According to the rep on the phone, I'll be getting a replacement, not a repair. Since I ordered a refurbished late 2011 15" MBP with an anti-glare screen, I really wonder what I'll be getting as a replacement. Also, the defective machine I purchased only had 4GB of RAM. It was my plan to upgrade myself at a later date. Newer Macintops have RAM soldered to the motherboard. I know the current MBAs and rMBPs do. Do the non-retina MBP models still have conventional DIMM slots? This has all given me quite the headache. I think I'm raiding the Scotch cabinet early tonight.
  15. A surprisingly in-depth review.
  16. NSFW!
  17. va http://www.discogs.com/Various-A-Tribute-To-Klaus-Schulze/release/951819'>A Tribute To Klaus Schulze (1998) It starts out a little rough, but most the album is pretty decent ambient.
