  1. Hoo-boy. Ken Rockwell, photo blogger and noted crackpot, reviewed the HD-800 recently.
  2. Chaise design HER Him, too.
  3. Steve Jobs takes medical leave from Apple, Tim Cook taking over daily operations in his absence. Hoo-boy.
  4. Ken stole my joke. Jena Labs does have DIY power and parts sections now. You could probably get a price quote for 50' or 100' of 10GA Romex that's drawn through Jen's butt-crack at sub-zero temperatures.
  5. Testing out posting a YT video with the new software. Nice montage, too.
  6. Ooh. Good eye, Salty. Other deals: 16-35mm F/2on sale for $1400. Wacky fun EF-S 15-85mm is also on sale for $717. It's less-interesting cousin, the EF-S 55-250mm is $210. 300mm F/4L is $100 off. 70-200mm DO IS is $100 off as well. BIG DEAL NO ONE BUYS THAT THING DON'T YOU GET IT, CANON? EF 75-300mm is $138. Don't buy this unless you enjoy the challenge of extracting good shots from terrible lenses. Even then, you should probably pass. There's a couple others on sale as well, including the 15mm fishee.
  7. Odd. The emoticon isn't working in original messages, but it's working in quotes. Also odd. (second one has spaces)
  8. New OS is fast, but the forum is still slow
  9. In short, wahoo! Smileys work.
  10. Sadly, I couldn't get a decent framerate with Amnesia on my laptop, so I'm playing it's spiritual ancestor, Penumbra: Overture. The first "level" takes place in the northern tip of Greenland, and the first task is "don't freeze to death." Couldn't be more apt.
