  1. The subjects are pretty good at their method acting, too. It's amazing no one lost a finger.
  2. Talk about a caption contest waiting to happen.
  3. A basic table lamp. Turns out it's cheaper to buy the whole lamp and strip off what I need than it is to buy the individual parts in DIY kits. With due respect to H-C's simian and pentaleonine members, I think it's time we officially start shooting lawyers. I removed four idiot warnings off a lamp that's barely a foot high. Two stickers on the socket, one on the bottom, and a huge one on the cord. There was also a plastic protector on the plug and paper stuffed into the socket. I'm glad I'm so well guarded against the perilous dangers presented by a fucking table lamp. I should count my blessings that I don't live in a country that uses 240v for everything.
  4. OnSale.com's deal of the day is a WD 1TB ext. drive for $100. Somehow, I blame Mr. Baguette for this.
  5. Sauce.

  8. Doctor's orders, can't argue!
  9. Helped out my friend Steve, who showed up earlier than I expected him. Developed a nasty headache. Politely declined to attend a trip to the strip club with my housemate, the other Steve, and a bunch of the diner staff. Completely and utterly failed to rewire this gorgeous art deco lamp/sculpture. I am sad and defeated, and my fingers are killing me. I might have to enlist the help of a professional, if I can find one.
  10. I usually loathe XKCD, and I thought that one was pretty amusing. I've been dealing with that issue since the dial-up BBS days, 18-ish years ago.
