I haven't the faintest idea what you're referring to. Come now, do I need to post a picture showing how immensely you were enjoying it?

You'll really blow his mind if you show him how you can unhook the network cable or shut off the computer hosting the files, and music will keep playing for a few minutes.- digital or analog cable more important?
Yeah see you would have better character separation if you weren't converting all your internet to a wireless frequencies.- digital or analog cable more important?
C'mon Jim don't be daft. It's just like how when you connect to the internet via a wireless router, websites and such appear in worse quality than when you use a hardwired connection.- What did you do today?
What about an improper plumbers crack?- What did you do today?
Finished replacing the drainpipe in the basement. I'm so glad I'm not a plumber, that was some nasty shit right there.- YATTTADC

Yeah thanks dude, I did have someone to help haul out the concrete chunks while I worked the jackhammer, but at least the hardest part is done now. I'm gonna just extend the PVC from where the plumbers originally "fixed" it to the point where the old pipe actually is still okay. I still need to take the sawzall to cut off the rest of the bad part so I can finish shovelling out the debris from the hole, then it's just a matter of putting the new pipe in, attaching it, and pouring gravel and concrete back into the hole.- What did you do today?
More fun with home repairs... spent a few hours with a jackhammer in the basement digging up an old cast iron drain pipe that was leaking and seeping up through the floor (it was milky white while washing out a paint tray, making it pretty damn obvious it wasn't rainwater). Well, maybe leaking isn't the best word; I'm sure there's a more appropriate term for when it's completely disintegrated into fragments only several square inches in size, like TOTALLY FUCKED. And of course the bad part didn't stay in the unfinished area or the room where the carpet was already pulled up, it had to go a couple feet into the main room where there's a tile floor. It got even more fun when I got to the part in the unfinished area where the plumbers supposedly fixed it a few months ago (replaced it with PVC from where it goes down into the foundation and about ten feet over). The iron pipe was still somewhat fragmented ALL THE WAY INTO THE GODDAMN RUBBER BOOT that couples it to the PVC. The cocksuckers apparently just went that distance they did, said fuck it, and covered it back up saying it was fixed. Oh, and I also had to unhook and move a few hundred pounds of test equipment, tools, parts, etc since part of this was right underneath/behind where my workbench is. AGHHHHKDGHJAHGQEJLHJLHJL!@#HT!#%(ERHWRJKJHH@$KJG@#$KL@GJ@#!#FJL!#!#!#G!#!#H!#H- What did you do today?

Oh you, there's no harm in telling them that we've already seized power from behind the scenes, and that they only continue to live at our mercy. What could they possibly do about it now?- Post the last thing you bought!

Installed Windows 7 today. As primarily a Linux user I'll say this: it's not bad at all. I also realized how much I take for granted some simple abilities on Linux/BSD systems... case in point it took me much longer than I expected just to find some software to mount a NTFS drive image so I could pull some files from the old Windows XP install. Most of the software I found only worked properly for CD/DVD images. It's very nice to have window grouping on Windows too now, and I love the little window preview thing to be able to pick the right one or just glance at another one for something. There are a couple things I use heavily in KDE but haven't seen how to do in Windows 7 yet: virtual desktops, and a side-by-side preview of all windows for switching tasks (similar to the preview in alt-tab, but as big as the screen will allow and doesn't require touching the keyboard).- What did you do today?
