  1. http://av.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/1057193.html This is interesting.
  2. Accuphase is one of the few brands that do inside and out really well at unbelievable prices (if you can get them from japan or hong kong) They cost somewhere around 30k new for a pair.
  3. Hey guys, Sorry to intrude, but i recently bought a T2 from a prominent and very trustworthy member here, and having just turned it on, i seem to be getting the same problem as Voltron did in march 2013. It came up after 10 mins being on, and stayed that way even after switching the left tubes to the right. Normally, i'd just send an email to the maker, but i don't think he'll be available due to personal reasons for the next couple days at least. I've read the post by livewire and im wondering if its safe to turn on the amp with all the tubes in place, as, Georgep described the transistors in the T2 turning black due to other problems in one of his post. I've switched if off once the buzzing and crackling in the left channel was heard and when i turned it on again after the tubes were replaced, they sound was still there. Thanks for the help. Cheers Jon
  4. His reviews are quite good, however, every time i read how the DAVE is the be all end all i become quite flabbergasted. Quite a few people consider it better than the TotalDac Monoblocks, DCS Vivaldi etc. Switching supply, a PSU that's nothing to shout about, about the size of an large pencibox and a PCB smaller than those found in the macbook air. I have not heard it but i'm honestly dumbfounded about how so many people consider it better sounding than the yggy etc etc. Either robb watts hit the jackpot in terms of programming FGPA's for audio, or there are more deaf people around then i realize.
  5. That sucks. From experience, DS dac's tend to lose alot more than the average 40-50%.
  6. Give Sonic electronics a call once they're out a month or so. They offered a buddy of mine 3.15k for a brand new LCD 4.
  7. That amp is available new for much lower than 3.5. You can get it for something like 2.5 if you ask around properly.
  8. Since you only charge for parts, that is something i would really like to see. At 80k, you might need to CNC a case for titanium to meet that budget.
  9. Hey guys, I remember reading a post by birgir a long time ago on how there were changes made to the 009's sometime in the last 2 years. Does anyone know which year is it or where that post is? I've been looking for that post for ages, but cant seem to find it, as im wondering if mine is the old batch or new. Thanks.
