  1. Haha great way to end it with Machado on the ground with a strike out. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  2. I listened to Alec Baldwins podcast with guest Michael Wolff, the author of Fire & Fury: Trump in the White House. Real eye opener. He says no one listens to Trump. Everyone in his staff since day one saw this as a netbliss for all of them and their individual businesses. I'll buy the book soon. Great funny podcast episode. https://castbox.fm/vb/65705235 Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  3. Freaking love some Black Mirror. Some of the episodes miss the mark with me a but that's ok because each episode is a completely different story with different characters entirely, but some of them are really good. The entire history of you and USS Callister are wonderful. It really is like today's version of The Twilight Zone. So good. I waited for months for this, as soon as I saw the trailer. This show is just dropping with atmosphere and looks and feels so authentic to that time. The show is exactly what I hoped it would be. I'm usually not into series shows at all but this is right up my alley. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  4. Wow. Steven Pinker. Thanks for the reminder. He wrote The Language Instinct. My mind was blown from reading that learning g about how lNguage works and where it comes from. I also just learned tons of random tidbits dropped in that book regarding every day Life. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  5. I'd like to read it as well. The most challenging book I've read was called Consciousness Explained by Daniel Dennett. I needed a dictionary to look up a few words per page and a note pad to pull together sentences that had many commas in them, causing me to get lost at times. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  6. Never heard of it looks cool. Out if curiosity the cover says it's grounded in cutting edge science. I love Michael Crichton books for that vreason books like Prey and Sphere and Jurassic Park. Would this be something for a Crichton fan? Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  7. Same thing happened to me with Curb Your Enthusiasm, always wanted to see it growing up never had HBO access. Watched it in 2017 laughing my ass off. Always saw Larry Sanders show floating around never got to see it. It's finally time. Will do it in 2018. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  8. Life Avoided this for ages for no reason at all, recently got a subscription to Starz channel on Prime video and saw that it was available. Starting Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal and Rebecca Ferguson. For someone into this kind of sci-fi creature film I thought it was an intense ride that did not let up once it got going. Really cool. 9. Just IMDB'd it, wow Joaquin Phoenix in a head trip of a plot. Looks pretty freakin' good if the director did a good job with it. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  10. Oh lol ok thanks. I guess its part of Jessica Jones. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk

  12. Pretty cool Ironbut. I myself have been on a Neil Blomkampf tare. This the video that got me into him. Short sci-fi film with a guest appearance by Sigourney Weaver. The way the aliens take down the buildings blows my mind. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  13. Waaat? I loved first season of Better Call Saul. Such a unique atmosphere and even lighting great to that show with interesting and unique dialog and situations. Was engulfed in that show but it's not for everyone. It's a prequel to breaking bad? Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  14. Triple 9 It's a personal favorite of mine for dirty cop movies (Casey Affleck, Anthony Mackie, Clifton Collins Jr. Gal Gadot, Kate Winslet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Norman Reedus, Woody Harrelson, Aaron Paul). Right up there or better than dirty cop flick Pride & Glory (Edward Norton, Colin Farrel, John Ortiz, Jon Voight, Frank Grillo). Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk

  16. Joel Kinnaman was cool in suicide squad, glad to hear good things about altered carbon. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  17. Loved the first short film from S4 Black Mirror. My favorite episode is still "The entire history of You" starring Toby Kebell. What I'm watching now is a bit off, but its hitting me hard. I couldn't stand the remake of the movie 'It' that recently came out in 2017. Im a big fan of the book, and thought the 1990's movie was quite good in its 10 hours of telling the story that takes place over 5000 pages in the book. Most importantly the 90's movie did alright in bringing Derry to life, something that was as important as the characters, in the book. The 2017 just didn't feel like Derry and the cast didnt feel right, and they were too old for their parts. But recently I caught a viewing of the refrigerator scene, in slow motion using my new soundbar, on YouTube. Its frightening slowed down. The music just sounds sick at .25x, the kids, aside from the distracting Stranger Things kid, all look horrified and the Clown is just nuts. During a viewing at the theater I barely noticed anything in detail because of how rushed the story felt, but this scene on its own imo, has some effect. Sent from my LG-LS998 using Tapatalk
  18. Would you mind nami g some of the tracks you listened to on the HE-1? Just curious. I find myself listening almost exclusively to music with non vocals, and always keeping an eye out for anything exceptionally well recorded. Jazz Pistols, Chad Wackerman, Aluk Todolo, Zu. These are so.e of the sounds I wish I could hear on the HE-1 and Stax models. Thanks for your impressions.
