  1. Nice Saratoga Al. I just made one a little smaller than yours (1:1:3/4) also taking Shelly's suggestion to go lighter on the vermouth. I agree 100%, delicious. I knew it sounded great as it is a Vieux Carre without the Benedictine and Peychaud's bitters, which is one of my favorites.
  2. Glad your mom is doing better Al. More good vibes to your mom and dad. Scary stuff Dan, glad it turned out to be no more than an interesting future fireplace story.
  3. Later I will definitely be making a Saratoga. Now we are having a couple of Vespers. Killed the Blackwoods.
  4. [Tice]Nice knob![/Tice]
  5. I love the dunes. Have a nice hike John. Sorry about your shortened ride Chris. In other biking news. We made it around our circle (about 1/3 mile) without training wheels in one try. Peter too.
  6. Have a Happy Scott Birthday.
  7. Wow, just wow.
  8. A Twentieth Century Cocktail with a few subs. Dark Creme de Cacao instead of light and Key lime juice instead of Lemon Juice.
  9. It was sitting on the nightstand. He started a conversation with it and it attempted suicide.
  10. Saratoga duly noted. Now finishing up a pair of Vespers.
  11. Happy birthday Lily. Peter's birthday party was a success. No one was seriously hurt or killed, so yay! Now we are chilling with a couple of Vespers. I think Karen is finally realizing that there is some up side to my cocktail obsession.
  12. Thanks Dinny, Sounds like a great prescription. 2/3 of the way there.
  13. Peter opened birthday presents today at 6:15. Trying to wake up and get ready for the birthday party at 2:00.
  14. Wow bad luck in Florida. Hope things turn towards the bright side for you both.
  15. Two Negra Modelos and Camarones a la Diablo for dinner.
  16. I will be supporting the inner fidelity meet.
  17. Hmm, that sounds interesting. The drink and location sounds nice Marc. We use the Sears Zone Omega Rx and saying it doesn't taste great is an understatement. But we take it with a little organic grape juice and it goes down fine. I believe they were the first ones to publish the actual test results for everything, including contaminants for each of their lots. Even with the smaller fish I would be concerned with chronic buildup but they seem to have really gotten out in front of this with the quality brands. I worry about the cheaper stuff myself since in most cases it is a big unknown. Nice! Me: In quick succession
  18. Happy Anniversary Bryan. Nice Mike.
  19. The other thing you should note is what the level of mercury is. If it hasn't been tested for mercury level, with actual test results for the batch, I would not be using it.
  20. Have fun tonight Al and Shelly and congrats on finishing up your trial Al. And this.
  21. He's cooking it over a match.
  22. ^^^ Yep, my point, although the vendors were a large part of the pain in my ass from CanJam '10.
