  1. I know but I know his wheels are 9/10/11 speed as all Mavics are (unless you're using the mythical Mavic cassettes). I've used 9 and 10 speed on mine (the bike I shipped to Barbados is 9 speed) and even used to switch back and forth etc.
  2. Why do you want to upgrade to 10 right now? Why not work up to it? Not that I'm the person to ever talk about impulse control with bikes, I think that bike would look very sexy with a full SRAM Force 22 in a few years.
  3. Nate the other wheels should be 9 speed compatible with a spacer. Mine were/are. I think you should have read my Calfee description and then you would have been less surprised with the ride quality. Smooth but firm.
  4. My brother bought two.
  5. Nate I am with Juan that you will get used to it quickly but flipping the stem is always an option. Glad you enjoyed the ride. Nothing quite like a Calfee.
  6. I had not heard of the sleep of death thing before. Fingers crossed my wife and I don't hit it as it seems to have lots of possible sources.
  7. Looks great Nate. The naked Calfee finish is a keeper and is almost indestructable (being epoxy rather than paint).
  8. Up to you Jeff. I am interested if you decide to sell. I would not.
  9. I am very unhappy about Mad fiber. That blows. I was planning on buying another pair. Yay Nate.
  10. Glad you are liking it. So I am going to have to wait for IT to approve windows 8.1 which will likely be a year or so but it looks like I might be able to get one of these on the work network which would be awesome.
  11. Wow Brent. I am glad everyone is OK. Sorry Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  12. After reading about the fan I made a point of looking for it on my wife's one and it took me a while. I honestly had no clue it had one before that. I have never noticed it turn on on mine but I have not really done anything CPU intensive that I can think of other than installation of software and updates. Edit: I used it for a few hours yesterday and I could never hear any fan going etc. I'm still getting used to all the gestures etc and need to practice but all in all I am loving the device and OS. In particular the hand writing recognition is very good considering how terrible my hand writing is. I now have to figure out a way to get my work to purchase me one of these or similar.
  13. Picture this time.
  14. Success! Finally!
  15. Sort of got my 3D Printer working. Have some warping issues to sort out.
  16. I really like this bag as it has great padding and holds everything plus Blu-ray drive. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009RV2EOI
  17. Jeff, it's a pleasure to have a great riding partner. I really think that soon enough you really will be pushing and maybe even dropping me. If I am only responsible for 5% of the loss that's a honor.
  18. As far as I know they are still meeting their ship dates so you will not be waiting too long. I have to call Microsoft and cancel my order that will ship in a few weeks. Edit: done!
  19. It is light and responsive and awesome
  20. After 5+ phone calls Staples finally released mine to shipping and it supposedly shipped a couple hours ago. After learning that the sellers take on all the risk with fraud, I understand why, but I just wish they had more people dealing with the backlog. Supposed to arrive today but we will see. Edit: UPS says out for delivery. This plus 3D printer making it feel like Christmas.
  21. Happy birthday!
  22. Grrrrr. I guess staples sold a bunch of them because mine order is still on hold awaiting them clearing my account because I'm a first time user. If they sell my tablet out from under me I'll be pissed.
  23. If you look at how much I have spent on bike crap you'll understand. I get to use pretty powerful computers at work and all I use home PCs for is photos, music and web browsing. Our oldest machine is a Dell Inspiron 9100 over 12 Years old (2 power supplies, 1 battery, 1 PATA hard drive, dvd drive, and replacement ballast for the back light). Runs windows 7 like a champ. The newest is a $700 Dell laptop that I bought for use as an audio host 6 years ago.
