I had the AEX with a BelCanto DAC2 and it was a very nice source. Given the choice, I would go with the SB3. It gives you option you don't have with the AEX. I'm running it with the Hertsens Sig DAC and I think the combo rivaled the Transporter (just an impression as I didn't have time for a real comparison). Of course, down the road you need Nate to throw together a ps for the SB3. Wait for a used one and you will probably get it for clost to $200.

I only hope it's as good as the HSD/SB3/NMPSU.

BECAUSE I haven't Done
-
Again, what makes you think I've ignored them? If it's because they don't have MOT tags, then you would be wrong. I can't discuss what has or hasn't been done or discussed about this.
-
In case you haven't quite figured it out on your own, I really don't care what you think or believe.
-
Of course I do. Don't assume that I haven't. Nate, I can't disagree with you. There are plenty that get away with shit. I've caught some and done something about it. Again, I've never said that there aren't legitimate grievances. We do the best we can, with the time we have and don't get everything right. I don't have the answers to all the questions. I wish I did. I can't tell you how many times I've caught something and was going to do something about only to have life get in the way and then forget about it.
-
What makes you think I haven't tough guy.
-
Do you think I don't know this? You know I can't discuss the "Why" or if there is a "Why". What I will say is that I don't think there is some nefarious reason for it.
-
I've never made it a secret that there are things that I would change and have tried to change. Some of those things have happened and some not. Usually it's because someone just hasn't gotten to it yet. I can't discuss much about this because I'm a mod. Again, I never said that there aren't some legitimate grievances. It's the way some people have gone about trying to change it that becomes the problem. Not everything is going to go your (not referring to you) way. I think the what has happened to this country in the last 6 years is shameful. I do the best to change it by voting and participating in other ways, not by calling people names, breaking the rules, etc.
-
I don't agree with you as to the last portion of your statement but you have a right to feel that way. At least you still participate over there despite our imperfections.
-
Yes, it definitely exists.
-
I don't buy that, I ignore them all the time.
-
Same answer, I can't. Good luck with that.
-
Just ignore them. Don't tell me you go through life without people annoying you. Do you leave the place where they are annoying you (assuming that you want to remain there) or do you ignore the person and do your best to have a good time? There is no wrong response but there are annoyances and then there are annoyances. I can't put a MOT tag on anyone.

Head-Case isn't for everyone and neither is Head-Fi. It's impossible to make everyone happy.

Jason, I don't take any of it personally. If I did I wouldn't post over here. I've seen all kind of people act petty/bitchy at times. However, that doesn't make them petty/bitchy. No one is perfect. I see a bunch of moderators that for the most part try to do the best they can and as I've said before don't get it right all the time. If you think for a minute that I do anything when I moderate that has anything to do with a corporate sponsor or because of one, you are the one that needs to open your eyes because that couldn't be farther from the truth. I can't speak for all the mods or what they do on every occasion but I can say that they all want Head-Fi to be a place where anyone can join in and not be intimidated because they might be new and say something others may consider to be stupid.
-
What a shock.

You know, people might not like how it's run, or the rules and how they are applied. But I don't go around calling people names because I can. If someone interprets what I do at Head-Fi as acting like a punk hiding behind a bully because I am behind a computer than that is nuts but nothing I say or do will change it. By the way, I've been to meets all over the country. If someone doesn't like what I say or do, then they can tell me to my face. I would have no problem discussing it with anyone. I spend most of my time at meets talking anyway. My references to the school yard are the name calling, piling on, etc. that goes on here. There is nothing wrong with arguing or discussing an issue. There is something wrong with the way some people attack others here, imo. I see a big difference between the two. And again, my references to that were directed to one or two. Like I already said, I didn't realize it was a word filter.
-
I said one or two. I said that I have no issues with most of the others that post here. You happen to be one of the two. I said that he needs to have a thick skin to post here. Do you disagree? I told him he should have read a little before posting so he knows how things work. Isn't that what someone else suggested as well? I said what I said, you are free to interpret it anyway you want. "Insecure meany", I don't know if you are or not. I just believe you act like a punk and probably are a punk. I could be wrong but that's my impression of you. My post was changed as I didn't use the terms, "asshat extrodinaire". Understood. I've never seen one used that way.
-
I didn't apologize for him. I was serious what I said about him in the first paragraph. By the way, you are one of the possibly two little girls that love to call people names because you are safe and sound behind your computer.

First, nice edit to my post. Second, I'm glad I could give you something to laugh about. I'm not sure what was funny about that but I'm glad you got a kick out of it. Why wouldn't it work. You can say anything you want about anyone or anything you want. Anything goes, why wouldn't it work. If someone doesn't like it or can't take it they leave. However, that's not how society works generally. Anything doesn't go. You could but probably don't say anything you want about anyone or anything you want other than on someplaces on the internet. Nothing wrong with that, it's not quite a free country anymore but free enough so a place like this can exist. The real challenge is trying to have an internet site where rules do apply. It's hard to police it and for some it's hard to participate in it. . The ones that go run to the teacher are like the ones that act like the tough guy because they are behind a keyboard.

trose, I don't think you should have been treated the way you have, in this thread at least. I didn't read whatever had come from before other than your first post. If you had bothered to see what you were getting into here before posting you might have taken a different approach (including not becoming a member. Right or wrong (mostly wrong, imo) this is what this place is about. You can either flee, flight or assimilate. If you checked this place out before posting than you had to know this was coming. You do tend to go a bit overboard on Head-Fi about gear. It doesn't bother me at all but there are those here who are bothered by it. Again, you should've figured that out before signing on the dotted line. I tend to think this place, at times, resembles a school yard and there are one or two that play the part of the little punk that stands behind the big bully and takes his shots or maybe a better descripion would be that they act like little girls that act tough because they are sitting behind their computers and feel safe. However, for the most part the people here are generally okay. They have some issues with Head-Fi but I've found I can mostly have a reasonable discussion with them. Believe me as a Mod at Head-Fi, I don't get a free ride. You just need to understand the ground rules going in. As they say, sorry about your thin skin.
