Yah the 650s are pretty good ;)

The RS-1s are up there too ... they really open up and get some depth to them I think I prefer them over the PS-1s... too bad my ears hate Grado ;D

I think its funny how vastly different some cans are when balanced. For example: I love the 600 and RS2s....and balanced i like the 650s and RS1s better.

balanced L3000's are great. :D

Has balanced ben tried on the HP2's? Even though thier great phones already just wondering if there could be any improvement had with balancing them.

Well, normally I like to reserve comments like this until after at least a month of listening. But I think the K701 balanced is impressive. At least so far (2 days).

The 701s see a nice improvement when balanced but not as large of one as the 650s get. Hopefully I get to hear balanced rs-1s someday as they apparently improve a heck of a lot.

I am doing that to Rek's before he gets them back ;)

Too bad you are not coming to the chicago meet because you could bring Rek's HP2, use my HP2, Hook both up to Bill's GSX and use left side from mine and right side from Rek's,Presto... Balanced HP2!! :D;D

I suppose that is one way of doing it ;)

sooo what type of cable are you guys using for balancing the L3000?? I think I may go with a silver cable...

btw, what's the stcok cable made of? I have my box stached away...

stock cable on the L3000 is high purity stranded copper (Hi-OFC) with a few strands of silver mixed in. it's a very nice cable.
