February 23, 200719 yr Has anyone heard this amp with AKG K701's? Does the amp have enough output to drive them to decent listening levels? Looks well built. How does it sound?
February 23, 200719 yr I haven't heard the Mark III but the older versions couldn't drive low impedance phones well at all. Also knowing ASL's terrible quality control history I'd be hesitant to buy anything from them.
February 24, 200719 yr Unless one is aware of a unit's history and one knows that it's fine. (Such as the one that used to be Hirsch's -- I'd buy that one if I was in the market and it was for sale. Known good.) Oh, and welcome to Head-Case -- this place is a little different from audiokarma and audioreview.
