Saw two B-2 spirit bombers flying together this mornnig...

Featured Replies

So, went out for a "thinking" walk this morning and as I look up to the sky... saw not one, but two (out of the 21 total) B-2 bombers flying over Bethesda.

Pretty impressive, and cool. It is not everyday one sees $4.2 billion flying being operated by a grand total of 4 people.

Saw the B-2 flying around at work this week.

Still impresses me every time I see one.

pics or it didn't happen.

well, have to say, I did have a treo at the time, so maybe I should have at least tried to take a shot with it, but I didn't. So I can't prove it!

they are impressive indeed. In my case it was the first time I see them in flight.

I get buzzed by these planes from time to time...

Seeing fighter planes out of nowhere is cool but scary, first thought is "What the fuck is going down now?"

I seen two fighters fly not more then 100ft up one day while i was in my back yard..

Lately everyone is the hood is talking about fighters taking off and landing at midway, something is weird about that considering the airport is not a major military hub no more..or has been seen i been alive and could remember.

regardless nothing will beat seeing this years back..it was so freaky in life. (note the sign on the pole to the right of the pic)

Oops.

And -- it's quite common in the DC area to see military planes of a variety of sorts, so it doesn't freak us out. Although I have to admit to not having seen a B-2 yet. We have several AFB's, plus that whole President/Air Force One thing.

When the Titans first came to town they had a flyover with one and 2 F16s from time to time.

On one flight the pilot of the B-2 actually flew through the stadium... not over it. Wasn't there for it, but the ad agency I've worked with had a film camera there for it and you can see just how low it was. Amazing. The pilot got into trouble for it... at least that's what the ad boys said.

I should have saved the Kroger spot it was in...
