Top Chef

Top Chef is back! Anyone else watch this show? I'm a bit of a foodie and like it because they actually have real/legitimate chefs on the show. The first challenge was very appropriate given the setting and I thought the first elimination challenge was very revealing.

Cooking shows need Gordon Ramsay.

He has Waffle House cooks on his show.

But Gordon Ramsay would out cook Chuck Norris

edit: and swear at him in the process

But could he out cook Tim Tebow?

BBC cooking shows should have Gordon. Shows on Fox with the oversoundtracking and the constant repetition not to mention the censorship, do the man a great disservice. Still, he's making money and all.

Agreed that Top Chef is the real American foodie show.

I gave this show a chance. The judges have no balls, Tom is ok, but he is still far too nice.

The new British guy was much needed, though it's obvious Padma hates him :D

I most enjoy the episodes where Bourdain is a guest judge... none this year . I don't care for the new Brit judge so far.

I thought this season was pretty disappointing. The chefs (outside of Stefan, Jeff, and Jamie) were pretty mediocre. Not to say I wouldn't enjoy eating in their restaurants, but these chefs (including the top) are a step below seasons 3 & 4.
