looking for 2 piece mounting clamps

Featured Replies

You need them to be the same as you have - I have a couple of generic aluminium ones lying in a box that I can send you. (need to find them but I know I do have them)

They are standard biochem lab issue - could track down catalogue and numbers if you need more ..dB

Good call. See also microphone mounts. To wit:

...but I suspect that you want a "universal" something, as microphones and drum hardware tend to be standard sizes, so they only need the clamp on one of the two directions, the other can be "hard-coded".

EDIT: Yeah, try this to get you started.

I know they are a standard issue thing, but hours of searching have found nothing.

If you have a catalog name/part number that would be great. 1.5 inch ID.

I did find the drumset clamps. If i can't find what i want, those are definitely the

next in line.

Just had a quick peek and I see your dilemma - the max diameter is 22mm from the suppliers that I am familiar with.

I did find these on amazon - not as pretty but they open to the right size and are significantly less expensive than the lab suppliers.

I will have a look on Monday to see if some of the more obscure suppliers have anything that can handle such large diameters ..dB

hmm not sure what happened to that link - I didn't find them on the fischer site but amazon links them as the seller ..dB

KG you need to assign a TA to make finding this part number his/her afternoon/day/week project :indra:

You have no idea what qualifies as a TA these days.

I'm not looking for cheap. I'm looking for something pretty.

In that case, maybe you should talk to Steve about making something custom for you in wood.

1 and 2 piece, no adjustable thumb lever but different materials.

Bigger heavy, but black oxide coating.

These could be used and replace one bolt with a thumb lever. They are "stackable".

The stafford parts came from this page, neat stuff on the right column including anodized looking aluminum stuffs.

Yet another Stafford link.

Found Googling: 2 piece clamping collar.

Googling: Thumb Lever and maybe adding "adjustable" gets mixed results.

No quotes used on any searches.

Your not an easy feller to shop for:confused:, but I really like your taste;D

Another name used for the thumb lever is button head.

I read the MSC catalog sometimes at work.

You would probably like some of the clamps I stumbled on and discounted for their price tag. The THORlabs optical brackets were particularly cool.

These are the other type of plate mountings 1 2 3

I do.

And now I have to think of a completely pointless use for them.

x2, those are hot and would look really awesome on...... something I haven't decided yet :D

Its a 4mv with 64 meg of ram and internal 20 meg hard drive for fonts.

As such it is way fast.

I got it cheap directly from the HP salesman 13 years ago.

I would actually like something smaller and get back some of the desk.
