August 21, 201015 yr While my O2 was off getting a new cable and pads installed, HighEnd Workshop in the UK did a fantasic by the way and cost less than Yamasinc including shipping, I started looking at dynamics/orthos that have come out since 2006. Now with the O2 back on my head I just don't see a rival coming along I started with the Concerto, ya ya I know, and the HE-5LE. Nice for a dynamic rig but no. Brought in the Senn 800... no. Beta22... no. Still holding out for the LCD-2, maybe T1 but whats the joke? Off topic, something finally made its way to between two pins on one of the output transistors of my KGSS and burnt/arced for a while and left a nice ding in the top layer of the PCB. I've cleaned it with alcohol, and the rest of the amp got vacuumed/dusted to clear out the rest of the damn cat hair... Anyway arcing gone, hole clean, no smoke, perfect sound... good to go?
August 22, 201015 yr I hope your good to go, as long as the damage wasn't in shortening the life span of those output transistors. I also enjoyed hearing the LCD-2. Its probably my favorite phone of the new releases.
