GFs friend want to sell his Salamander Synergy S40 Six Shelf rack. Have read the reviews, but curious if anyone here has had any positive/negative experiences? Haven't seen it yet myself.

I have two of them with perforated sides And doors, very versatile with adjustable shelves.

I recommend them.

Agreed. I bought one based on other posts here, and it has been great. Their customer service has also been great as well (I ordered direct).

I use the s40 with the extended back. Very nice and very flexible. Excellent WAF also.

Ah, yes, thanks for bringing up the extended back. Without it, there is really only about a half-inch of clearance for your cables; the extended back makes me feel much more confident about ventilation as well.

I think this may work out very well. Haven't attached the back yet.

That is awesome Ric! Looks great and plenty of options for listening. I hope you just keep it all, but what are the front-runners at the moment?

Well, after many delays I finally had a chance to do some semi-serious listening to the Peak & Volc tonight. That combos not too shabby with the HD800s. B)

The Aleph faces no competition on the K1K front.
