Went with that first board. It has a little bit of everything that good myrtle seems to offer - some flame, some curl and figure, and some striping. Apparently they have nearly opposite sound sigs. The MDR-Z7 has a mids suck-out with plenty bass whereas the CD3000 is just bright...
