I don't change in the market for hp-1000 ( rare and joe' sound ) , nor for ps-1 ( "alluminium" sound limited edition) rs-1 will probably be down for sale on the FS forum for around 500$ , for this remainig part of the year

yea me too had a similar thought in mind

grado sound but it knocks off ,.. I suppose is about soundstage deepness/bass impact it's very likely this Grado cans will sell very well, it's nice to know there's still room for improvment for dynamic drivers and designs

I probably expressed bit shortly .. I'm not a warm / tubes guy and prefer un-colour , probably this , i found the rs amps adding warmness to the sound

The GR is very nice amp but I find it just a bit too upfront sounding .. the new source might cure the symptoms ..

I've not liked 1 RS amp up to now . Had the hr-2 ( colour ) the xp-7 ( colour , unrefined ) the hornet ( didn't make it , didn't live at all up to the hype to my ears , returned after burn in )

got a reply from justin , it's about 800$ - better to start saving for the gs-x anyhow I'll tell you this the G.Reference is quite satisfactory thing , at least for the moment

hey from description it seems the most buggy shit of an heapdhones you've come through

for the little time I've passed with it the improvments seem to be quite worth the extra $ most noticeably even if the bass wasn't definitely as there as expected and didn't improve that much , soundstage and clarity / details improved very nicely to my ears.

so how about someone tells me if it is worth to get it balanced ?
