  1. .. has competitors around ( sound wise ) as an all in one portable / laptop nice sound solution ? My concerns are mainly about SQ.. what Dac hide inside ? I just read Jude preliminary review on head-fi and it seems it's nice improvement(sq) over the previous bithead.

  7. I don't see much more then a natural evolution head-fi has met , since it's been the first graphically and widely available forum on headphones of the world ; it's natural for me it's becoming a "normal" forum ( and not an elected one ) as music , music portability , quality and audio is getting more and more common , and normal , and world wide. If I was Jude I wouldn't probably have done many things differently from what he has done ( bar some particular situation , created on and mainly related to amp-builders ) ; he's left the forum widely available , for all , limitating very few aspects of discussions , and not getting the forum itself into commercial ( until lately , as I understand head-fi is also little bit of a business now - but I don't blame jude for doing this , I understand running the site is very dispendious ) . Still I HIGLY miss the reintroduction of the outside forums , which I was in and surfing the most on ; and was there where i met , and knew , and spoke some members out of the hedaphones , and grew some respect and affection for some of them ( in contrast to the affects created by the share of a passion only ) .
  8. I'd like to have the higly missing head-fi "outside" offtopic forums ..
  9. I've had only the total airhead from headroom , and returned it because wasn't capable of driving hd650 (imhumbleo). but other then this I definitely loved that little amp , it was snappy , involving lightweight easy to carry , and not lifeless at all . there's also the ps-1heads great bass and great air not worth to mention maybe but no joke either
  10. I'm trying to invite Jesse Jane

  20. never seen so much fanboysm on head-fi . I'm hooked though :D and close to ordering one chinese dac If you think of it , the Aria is a quite nice ( not over the top ) dac+amp combo , and it doesn't cost the hell out of your pocket.. it's likely that next month the 2.0 dac ,at 300$, will be the big deal for Zhaolu & C. and also possible it can start competing nicely ( without burning up headphones ) with the 1000$ brothers.
