My (very limited) experience has been that sonotubes tend to be designed more for HT, with going low and loud more of a priority than quickness (which is what I think of as a "musical" sub)
  2. Very cool! Looking forward to when it's out. I was planning on going with the Full++, but I'll happily wait for the Gamma2 to be done first

    Happy Birthday!
  4. Intel X25-M for the laptop showed up today, just got Windows 7 installed on it and it's amazing how fast everything runs now.

Intel themselves stated that they would drop their pricing on the current drives when their newer capacities came out. But I recently purchase my M1330 Dell, and the X25-M seems like a good fit for it aside from the slightly painful storage space. The tech will definitely only get better, although I wish they could simply make the SLC tech cheaper and easier to produce. That's just a dream though

A six pack of solid-state drives compared - The Tech Report - Page 1 Although it's mostly a MLC review, they also include the X25-E results for comparison. The X25-E 32gb is tempting in a raw-speed sort of way, but I don't think I could handle the size limitation as my current OS partition is using up 25.8gigs, so that X25-M looks tempting.

That's very tempting, but the California tax is killer! Guess I might just ship it to my apo address and stick out for the wait. Thanks for posting that

  24. How much are they charging for that?
  25. So true! Also, once you get started bumping up the budget it's even easier to start thinking of what you could with even more!
