I have a bunch of IEC power cords here, I'll bring one along when I head over tomorrow. It's a computer power cable though, and the left over bits in the power cord may or may not affect your enjoyment of music from your device.

To be precise, I'm taking a flight from Aomori down to Haneda, taking a transfer to Narita, then flying out. So the actual distance traveled in flights alone would be: Aomori Railroad Station, Japan (Railroad Station, Japan) -> Haneda, Japan (Section Of Populated Place, Tokyo) Distance: 368.3 miles Narita, Japan (Second-Order Administrative Division, Japan) -> Los Angeles, California (Populated Place) Distance: 5455.6 miles 5823.9 miles

Two more days and then I have a rather long plane ride towards CanJam:D
  7. That's why you get the underlings to do the terminations?
  8. for the UPOCC, are you braiding them + techflex?
  9. I can't view imageshack pictures from work, but if it's rated for 115/250v 50/60hz it'll work fine on 100v
  10. The word ohms sounds great! That sounds like he knows his stuff
  11. Good point, my apologies for being a tard.
  12. This thread is about the buffalo, yes; but it's not quite about purchasing a pre-built one though
  13. Hopefully that something isn't a cap gone nuclear.
  14. Is it too late to say I found the epsilon board yesterday? Progress is looking good, looks like you didn't need it anyways
  15. I finished the endplate for one of my dac's, also cut and route a rosewood front plate but not terribly excited about it so I may make another one out of a different wood.

Interconnect with a toroid inline? I've never heard of that...
  17. Wait, you mean you have a balanced blend of cryo/non-cryo technology? I heard everything is better balanced!

There was some definite fuzziness with the Class A talk, first it sounded like they were saying the DAC chip was running in class A, then the power supply was class A... I prefer my DAC chips to run in class D...for digital!

Thanks for the info Justin, I didn't realize that was the case with the PCM1704, I have only had limited experience with DAC's that don't get nearly so hot.

I just read that thread and I must say I am a bit surprised that people think 127F is normal operating temp for a DAC chip
  22. It wasn't too long ago on head-fi that someone recommended ripping to uncompressed wav for the best sound, compared to other lossless formats
  23. Yup, got that too The sheets showed up yesterday; I must say I'm a bit surprised at just how thin 1mil actually is. Did you get around to playing with the roll-on TIM?
  24. Four sheets of Kapton 100MT.
