http://www.head-fi.org/forums/4126483-post62.html Enjoy everyone. Like I said I am true to my word and JenaLabs is completely full of shit. -Alex-

If anyone doesn't believe me thats fine. Just wait for the owner of the headphones to post up. It will be on Head-Fi as I don't believe he knows anything about the Head Case side of things. Just as a note the only reason I did the write up to begin with is because the owner asked me to after JenaLabs no longer wanted to have anything to do with him. Thanks, Alex
-
Yea looks like someone beat the owner to it. Do expect a post from the owner himself though as he is quite upset about the whole thing. He will fill in the entire side from JenaLabs that I am missing since I didn't directly deal with them I will leave it up to him as to what he wants to say. -Alex-
-
I do not think it can be deleted. Such a job is an actual ripoff and he wanted to work it out with them before bringing it out into the public, but they pretty much told him to fuck off. He got hung up on twice and then received an email telling him to no longer call or email them that there will be a letter mailed to him. I will leave the full story to be posted by him from that side. -Alex-
-
I guess it is just their method of doing it. Nothing against SinglePower I just figured if you are going to recable them you might as well hardwire them directly to the drivers. I guess they didn't want to do what JenaLabs did...
-
No they don't. Not even close...
-
How would I go about doing this? That would be SinglePower. You won't even believe the fact that the owner of the R10 headphones actually got a 5 page letter from JenaLabs as to why he will not be getting his money back. In short is is really pissed and will be posting on Head-Fi himself. Get ready for that thread... -Alex-

APureSound received a damaged Sony 10 headphone, but this story is just the beginning. Let me just say a company most everyone knows made a HUGE f-up tried to hide it lying to the customer ect. Well worth the read. I would just post here, but too much effort redoing everything. Click on the image below to read more!

I have read on Head-Fi that silver is bad because silver oxidizes... Go look it up and tell me if that is true... I love Head-Fi for such wonderful useful information.... -Alex-

I've got steady hands. I will be able to wire it straight into the brain. He should have a few hundred thousand hours of burn in by now. At what point is it burn-out? -Alex-
-
I am patient take your time. -Alex-

Ed, This one uses standard black techflex (I did give the option of nylon), but from my tests because of how it is designed and installed there is hardly any microphonics on the R10's and the standard sleeving. -Alex-
-
The stock L3000 wire is better than the R10 wire. I don't think I can even begin to explain HOW much better it is than the stock R10 wire, but the stock R10 cable is just a bit better than the stock KSC35 cable when measuring 10ft vs 10ft. -Alex-

I am glad you see you are still enjoying them. I was actually going to PM you to see how they were doing with you. -Alex-
-
Grawk: They definitely sound better now that they are recabled. I will do a small writeup when I get some free time. Oh and they fit back in their original box with the upgrade cable. -Alex-
-
Oh and yes the cable was soldered directly to the driver. No splicing blah blah blah....
-
Well I do. This is a lower serial # pair which I got for recable. After recabling them I spent some time doing tests on the stock cable and I must say Sony really screwed up here. 0.9ohm for the channels and 0.6ohm on ground. The ground is a shield running through covering a PVC covered wire. Looking at the wire itself since the insulation is clear allows me to see the stock wire is all oxidized! So in short. Cheap thin wire pulled in through tubing and then sleeved with black material. Good job Sony on such a nice high end headphone. Here is an after picture: More pictures here: http://apuresound.com/images/cables/v3/r10/ Say what you will, but I am disappointed with such an expensive headphone as far as the cable goes. -Alex-
-
The cable in no way was intended to alter the original sound signature of the ER4's. I noticed you used no amp. You truly need to try with an amp. -Alex-
-
I wouldn't think those are better then the Furutech connectors, but I will see once they come in. Also, I replied to your email. -Alex-
-
I will definitely have something ready for you soon. Icarium loves the one I made for him with Furutech Rhodium XLR connectors. I am interested in what XLR connectors you have found that may be better then the Furutech's. Drop me an email with a picture I would be really interested to see! -Alex-

Looks great Elephas! I hope you are really enjoying them. The 010 are really something special. -Alex-
