  3. As some of you already know APureSound is the official reseller of Einar Sound amplifiers. Einar Sound contacted us and send us a demo unit to try. We absolutely loved the amp taking sound quality, price, and build quality into consideration and agreed to be their reseller. The VC-01i is a result of many years of research and development. It was designed to be a real uncompromising balanced solution, along with the hardest effort to minimize practical dimensional size. The entire circuits from input to output process separately the positive and negative phase of the signal for each channels. It is capable to drive any headphones, balanced or unbalanced, with either high or low impedance and sensitivity. The no-compromise design, ideas and parts integrated make it a great performer delivering excellent musicality, transparence and dynamics. This is something with passion and effort and something you surely can afford. Amplifier Specifications:

  6. I am not able to edit my original post so the sale price is now available below. This price is good only for as long as we still have them in stock so get them while supplies last! For each additional foot add $15. Thanks, Alex

  9. I just wanted to mention that we will be caring and keeping a stock of the HE-5LE headphone. On side note we will have a sale on the remaining HE-5 headphones that we have in stock. Contract us for the discount price! Thanks, Alex
  10. This headphone needs no introduction. Having been released late 2009 this headphone has taken the audiophile community by storm and with a good reason. The HE-5 is regarded as one of the best headphones available today, but at a very reasonable price. We were so impressed with the sound reproduction and quality of this headphone that we will now keep them in stock. Our only issue was with the stock cable in regards to design, construction, and materials used. Combining the HE-5 headphone with the APureSound V3 cable makes it the best headphone available for purchase today. Headphone Specifications:
  11. Great. That is exactly as it should have been mounted from the start. I hope you enjoy them! -Alex-
  12. Oh my.... WTF did they do with my cable! The wires are left long so that is is easier to install. You simply leave the extra or cut down to where you need them as opposed to what they did. Feel free to send the headphones to me and just cover shipping. I will fix it and get it right back to you. I would hate to have the cable fail due to a poor install. Thanks, Alex
  13. I will since I unknowingly got dragged into this to begin with so I will help make things right. Make sure to read my post above.
  14. You need the urethane that goes around the driver, the urethane that goes between the wooden housing and the frame, and a new set of ear pads. Part #'s are below. 2-116-074-01 - small urethane 2-116-075-01 - large urethane 2-116-077-01 - left ear pad 2-116-078-01 - right ear pad
  15. Actually the problem was that the pair that was sent to me has been previously repaired and the current owner was not aware of this and so neither was I. Long story short I opened then and both drivers had 2inches of voice coil wire just hanging loose from the repair which I caught with the removal tool ripping it to the point of where I can no longer reach it. Again this is because the R10 was already repaired and the voice coil was left hanging out in the open. I honestly can't believe how many people email us about damaged R10 headphones. :palm: Andy's headphone was reterminated by me. boilingfrog (Scott) mailed me all 3 R10's not telling me who's the 3rd pair was, but telling me that they agreed to trade bass light for bass heavy and that since he is keeping these bass light that he needs it terminated to 1/4in since he doesn't use balanced. I can say that R10 looks like that inside due to age. I have seen so many R10's like that or close to that. I actually have removed the R10 from APureSound and no longer even recable the R10 due to so many of them coming is either previously repaired and the current owner unaware of it or in this condition where it takes hours to properly clean them up. If you own an R10 always keep it at room temperature and away from humidity. This will destroy your headphone!!! Thanks, Alex
  16. Happy to see they came in well. Truly sorry to really took so long, but I hope the free leather headband makes up for it. The headband has no stuffing since the stock one doesn't have any either and this was pretty much a copy of the stock headband other than the fact that it is real leather and the stock is not. Some time next year we will offer all sort of custom leather services, but I want to make sure it gets setup so that we can stably do the leather without it getting into the cables or the other way around. In other words yet another employee at APureSound. Just need to find the perfect one, but there were some good ones who have already applied. I will keep updated. Thanks, Alex
  17. I will go ahead and say here that Mikhail may have been the one who damaged the ear pads or even the urethane ring inside (I guess we will never know). This pair had the drivers glued in that there is NO WAY to damage the voice coil wires without removing the drivers. If those drivers were not removed by Mikhail which I am guessing they weren't since he simply spliced into the stock cable instead (logic wouldn't let him splice the cable if the drivers were already removed and easily accessible.. I am not going to point fingers as I have already made my judgment based on my experience with the R10 headphone and having worked with this pair. Regardless of who did what when or even where Jena Labs said they tried to repair them and to assume they fixed it is just wrong. There were more things wrong with that 1 driver than I can count on one hand. So this "repair" only made my job harder with all of this epoxy glue all over the place which Jennifer already said she put on there. I can pick apart what she said into pieces, but I am just going to leave it where it is because I am not going to get dragged into this for some hack job repair. -Alex-
  18. They added a few things if you have a look they wrote Scott's name all over the site again along with at the very bottom they added: "For the sake of reference to products modified by JENA Labs Or JENA Technologies, It would be wise to read Our Return Policy." Compare to what I saved before I ever added anything to my site: http://apuresound.com/r10r/jlr10 Yea good move Jena Labs.... Just getting smarter and smarter...
  19. I contacted Jude to check make sure who it is. If it is from Oregon than mostly likely it is her. If not I asked him to remove it and ban the user. If it really is her all I can say is good luck. -Alex-
  20. Don't worry I will not be editing the page for content. So far I have only added the fact that the owner has now responded on head-fi and added the picture. This was last night. I actually started saving the Head-Fi posts also, but only got up to page 8 so far. I will let you continue. -Alex-
  21. Based on my conversations with BoilingFrog Jennifer does the recable herself.
  22. Have a look yourself: http://apuresound.com/r10r/jlr10
  23. When BoilingFrog first called me he went into detail about what all he knows. They went to Mikhial for recable then to JenaLabs. He said he can't understand it, but they just do not sound right and he wants to send his 2nd pair in as well so that I have something to compare to. He had no idea what all was wrong with them because it was just truly a shock when I actually told him. There is NO WAY to damage the voice coil of those or any other headphones without actually removing or messing with the drivers neither of which was done until JenaLabs got the headphones. By pushing that little bit of stock wire up there all that was done was maybe squishing up the cotton dampening a little bit. Based on how the driver sits in the housing you can see that if you get the screw driver too far into the housing to remove the driver you will hit right into the voice coil at an angle. I designed a special tool to remove these drivers to avoid ever having to mess these headphones up. -Alex-
  24. Yes I understand which is why I am not posting this on Head-Fi. All that was asked of me is to do a write-up of everything they or anyone else messed up. Keep in mind in the end he just wants to listen to his headphones. I hardly think he cares who does the work as long as it is done right and well. Sadly he had to go through all of this just to be able to enjoy his hobby. -Alex-
  25. To me it is clear. I don't really care who to point fingers at since my job was just to fix this mess, but here is what I know. The headphone was sent to SinglePower for initial recable. SinglePower does NOT remove the drivers which means that the drivers are still glued into the housing. You can ask anyone who has ever talk to Mikhail or even call him yourself and he will tell you he refuses to remove the drivers from the housing which means there is no way he could have damaged the voice coil. Boilingfrog wanted the job done right so he sent it to JenaLabs thinking he would get what he paid for. At $1500 for an upgrade cable the headphones should also have the ability to land on the moon (APureSound model will be available summer 2010). JenaLabs opened his headphone even pictured and wrote about the fact that someone just spliced their upgrade cable into the stock cable, but that they don't do that. That means that JenaLabs pull the drivers from the housings. Knowing Boilingfrog and having talking to him on the phone for a total of probably 4-5hr he doesn't know the first thing about these headphones let alone how to take even the pads off. He had no idea and couldn't even believe what all I told him while on the phone as it was truly just a shock as much as it was to me when I first opened them up. To think these headphones sounded great the way they were fixed up you have got to be deaf or listing to a pillow because as soon as I put them on I already herd everything wrong with them. He always kept me updated with what was going on with JenaLabs because Jennifer WhiteWolf Crock herself sent me an email on 4-4-2008 to see if I had his headphones. I said what I know and having a very good understanding on the construction of the headphones I can tell you now exactly who did it and what happened, but it has already been said before. Just as a note Boilingfrog actually told me earlier that he didn't want any of this to be posted and he just wanted an appology for being lied to and his money since in the end they didn't do anything other than damage his headphones, but after he got hung up on 2 times, fruther lied to, and they went through all the trouble of sending him 5 pages of why they won't give him his money back he said enough is enough and he doesn't want this to happen to anyone else. He isn't after money he just wanted them to take responsibility for their actions and I agree that isn't really too much to ask for here. -Alex-
