  1. I like the Jack Spade bags, but they do get pricey fast. Today, though, I was really psyched because I just happened to go to their website and it was 30% off everything. Turns out it must have been a glitch b/c it expired in April. Jeff, what do you think is the problem with the first one? Too ugly/informal? Jin, I generally like messenger bags, but wearing them across the shoulder can be tough with a suit for me. I'm also looking for something with some internal structure instead of one big pocket because I'm basically a big mess. Tumi does make nice bags, including my favorite garment bag:
  2. Not so much for my office. There's a thought.
  3. Jeff, it can really differ from day-to-day. Sometimes it's virtually nothing. Other days, I'll need files (big), a book, umbrella. Then various phones/iPad/power cords. And I like pockets. But it also has to look somewhat corporate appropriate (but not fancy). The Coach is a nice case that I would use for meetings, court, etc. Any suggestions? Reksy, the Coach I have is very lawyerly already. Looking for something less formal.
  4. Happy Happy.
  5. Is the free version loaded with ads?
  6. I'll bet this is yet another thing a lot of us obsess about. The iPad thread has me considering several different murses. But now I also think I need a new briefcase. I have an old school leather Coach briefcase, which is nice, but heavy and somewhat impractical for my gadget-y self. I'm thinking about this: Zephyr: TOM BIHN Thoughts? Criticisms? Useless drivel?
  7. Heh, I am very jealous now (really). Slow day at work so I did a lot of mursesearch. But now I'm convinced I need a new briefcase instead--AND a murse. Off to start a bags thread...
  8. Pull it on the genius if he makes fun of the murse.
  9. Thanks, Shelly. I'm thinking I might want to go one size up. Sorry guys...meant to tell you.
  10. Shelly, how are you liking your Timbuk2 bag?
  11. Heh. Funny how that happens with moves: "Oh, yeah, it's just a couple of things..."
  12. It does have a search function. Not sure about the rest.
  13. Shit. Just saw this. Posty shoot me a Pm if you need info.
  14. Ugh. So sorry to hear that Nate. I'm sure she will be just fine. But that can't have been easy. Edit. Also why I started the following: http://www.head-case.org/forums/casino/8407-parenting-thread.html
  15. I got Corkulous. Pretty. Now I need to figure out what I'll do with it.
  16. So far it's a real hit. I may have to reinstall XP because the thing is a dog, but I'm also tempted to get him something else, though his mother would kill me.
  17. I am a weak man.
  18. Quad 12L Actives.
  19. Where to, Ric?
  20. Yeah, not exactly promising.
  21. It's a trackpad, but he's actually getting the hang of it. Amazing how quickly they learn this stuff. My dad still hasn't mastered the mouse. The real problem here is that the laptop is a total piece of junk, which is great because he can't break it, but it takes forever to boot up (when it does boot because the power button is hosed). Maybe a netbook is in order.
  22. Yeah, the mouse coordination is the hardest part for him. And ideally I would get him an iPad. But maybe grandpa and grandma will come through. The PBS kids, etc. suggestions are great, thanks. I'll also take Resksy's advice and have the Boy try to blow up the moon.
  23. I'm giving my old Dell Laptop to the Little Monkey, so I'd like to kiddy-fi it as much as possible. Any suggestions for games, applications, etc. to make it more user-friendly for him? (He's 4.) It's running Windows XP. It's a beater.
  24. Sounds a little vague at this point from the newsletter:
